If I could have packed up this campsite in my luggage to move it closer to our home / I wouldn’t have thought about twice!
If this park was closer to our home - I’d staycation every weekend! What an awesome park and location!!!
Everyone we came across was super friendly and always happy to assist - not surprising as they live in a beautiful area, I know I’d always be happy too if I lived there.
This campground is not too far from Fredericton should you need the bigger stores, restaurants or medical assistance.
The lots are spacious and there are a lot dedicated to non seasonal campers. We had lot #3 which backed to the river and the walking path - it felt like heaven!
We were surrounded by lots of wildlife from the aquatic sort to the four legged kind…
Many people came prepared to fish off the dock - We don’t fish but those folks fishing against the sunset backdrop made for gorgeous pics!
You could not ask for a better place to watch both the sunrises and sunsets - although I am very partial to their sunsets - they were unbelievable.
Site #3 has since been sketched into my memory as my happy place 💛
The campground offered two areas to shower, one by the pool and the other by the laundry area. The water was hot and the water pressure was great. The showers are free.
During our visit there were no snack bar or restaurant on site… this wasn’t such a big deal but it did require some pre-planning to bring stuff back from town before settling into our relaxing routine.
This campground has an awesome waterpark that would please both young and old. Your site fee includes bracelets for unlimited access to the waterpark.
They also have a very cool mini putt which stays open all day and into dusk. It is surrounded by trees and as such we could see lots and lots of bugs but it looked very cool. The mini-putt is at an extra cost… nonetheless, it was very popular.
The park is right beside a wonderful trail that can take you right into Fredericton - should you wish to do that. We didn’t venture that far onto it but it was very nicely done and quite wide. You can walk to Tim Hortons just under 30 minutes or bike there even faster as we seen a lot do.
The park was a little more expensive than some others but...
Read moreGreat spot. Spent a week here, facilities are great not fully Americanized but nearly as good as biggest camp grounds we’ve ever been to. Prices were decent (obviously over priced but expected). River with great fishing easily accessible by foot. And launch small boats easily (didn’t have large boat to put in). Staff was great. Garbage pick up at site was great, unfortunately the coins seem pretty think around there. But for garbage picked up at lot I don’t mind cleaning up after the buggers once or twice. Mini put is dated but children loved it. Water park was great for children 2 and up. Our one year old is pretty bored though. 2, 5, and 7 love it. Barely need to watch them if they have a floatation aid. Views are beautiful! Sunsets and sun rises at either end of river so if you have a river front lot you can enjoy both. Also great biking path that connects to the cross Canada trail! Playground was sufficient for older children. Nothing for 1-2 year olds though. Big covered gazebo for activities if it rained probably could’ve picknicked there as well. Beware though the lots are a little tight with no privacy. And the fire pits for some are not the best as they end up on the edge of a hill and can then only accommodate a couple people around them. Not really a camp store though which was a bummer for the children and I, need to go only a few mins down the road for most essentials though. All in all though i would give it a 4.5 definitely will be back if we are travelling east again!!! Two thumbs up and 4.5 stars!! Thank you to all the staff at Hartt...
Read moreBooked a stay here with my family to enjoy our time. Booked a 3 night stay and paid an extra fee for 3 days for my family to use the water are which was $10 a day per person.
I am a veteran with a need for a service dog. Which I have all the proper documentation for, as a courtesy I went to the front gate and spoke to the older lady there telling her I have a service dog and just wanted to go into the pool area. She told me I was not allowed to because of health reasons due to them selling food in that area.
This is a complete discrimination of the use of a service animal. Service dogs can enter restaurants that specifically have one reason for business which is selling food. I wasn't even asking to go near the area of food just to be able to sit in the chairs to be with my family.
We ended up leaving early which wasted our time and money and ruined our vacation. This place is all about one thing, and that's making money. They could care less about you or anything else.
This place doesn't deserve your money, take it to somewhere else worth the price. You can go to magic mountain and get more, without discrimination. I posted pictures of the government of New Brunswick lamens terms of service animals. Feel free to Google the laws on service animals. This place needs to get educated, they didn't even try or suggest any kind of accomodation to help me with this situation.
Shame on the owners for having this place run the...
