Buyer Beware! The following is a recap of our reprehensible experience/concerns from our stay at the Fredericton Ramada. - We had 3 rooms (3 families)booked from June 3-6 as we travelled from Western Canada to attend a graduation ceremony. The condition of the room is reflected in the attached pictures. Mold- dirt and grime. Pictures speak for themselves. However we soon learned that this was about to become the least of our problems. On the evening of June 4th yelling- swearing and threats of harm could be heard from the room next to my daughter and across from us. This continued throughout the night and escalated in nature- referencing rape videos- weapons and military. We were fearful having been left with the impression that there was a very unwell military individual in the room and uncertain who was in the room with him. Multiple calls were made to the front desk throughout the night however this continued on. At one point I let the front desk know that I was giving them 2 minutes to intervene or I would be calling the police. The commotion subsided for approximately half an hour. At 7:30am on June 5th I spoke with the manager who was dismissive and indifferent. He advised that he was familiar with the man in the room- he is a gamer and the room was paid for by his mother. This caused even more concern for us as he had young staff on site without leadership support during a potentially dangerous situation. He advised that he did deal with it by calling the individuals mother. Meanwhile 3 families were left in fear when the cause of the disturbance was known by staff all along. In hindsight had I called the police and reported what was being said- I’m certain that their response would not have been nearly as cavalier as the hotel manager. The situation could have ended tragically. On June 5th I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am awaiting a file number. Overall- one might deem our situation to have simply been a night of unrest. However, in totality it was a sleepless night that segued into what was to be a long awaited day filled with joy and pride. Sadly- this was not the case as we were tired- disheartened and beyond disappointed at the lack of accountability and understanding shown by Ramada management.

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel with my kids. They like that it has a pool to keep them busy. It's a small pool, but most of the times they were there swimming they were the only ones using it. The pool and hot tub are in the courtyard, which is nice during the day it's like being outside, however at night there isn't enough lighting and it's hard to see. We like the inside courtyard rooms because they have the balcony for sitting out on, and to hand swimsuits and towels over the railing. If you're not traveling with kids though, you maybe wouldn't want a courtyard room so you don't hear kids in the pool all the time. I think they're slowly renovating the rooms, my parents stayed in an outside room that looked like it had been updated. Our room looked like it hadn't had anything changed since it was first built. Our bathroom had a stain in the ceiling tile, and a dingy spot on the back of the door. The fans and air vents in the courtyard look like they haven't been cleaned in years. Overall though it's good for the price, I would expect better if I had paid more, but for one of the cheapest hotel options outdated rooms are to be expected. The breakfast buffet is pretty good, although there is a sign stating that food is not allowed to be taken to your room. During the nights we stayed the hot breakfast included scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausages, and pancakes. There is also cereal, small muffins, toast, and yogurt, plus coffee, tea, and juice to drink. This hotel is on the North side of Fredericton, which is farther from most things, however Fredericton isn't very large and it's right by the bridge so easy to get around.

My husband and I stayed at the Ramada in Fredericton for two nights. We chose Fredericton which is a beautiful town because it was under the path of the solar eclipse and seem like a lovely place for my birthday celebration.

I remember when I was younger that staying at a Ramada felt like such a luxurious feeling but that is long gone. Staying in the room felt kind of depressing, whereas I had hoped to have that luxurious feeling for my birthday.

The check in experience at the hotel was wonderful and the staff were really friendly.

However, the photos of the room are not even close to being accurate of the rooms themselves. I had 'upgraded' to a business class room which are only available on the second floor. Already people with accessibility needs are going to have a difficult time accessing the rooms.

The rooms are a lot smaller than the pictures show and do not have a double couch. The king size bed is pushed up against the wall to be able to fit all the furniture in. The TV is quite small for an upgraded room.

The main issues I had with the room was that it was extremely dated. Although the cleaning stuff seemed to do a good job, because it's so old and hasn't been updated in such a long time, everything felt dirty, but not in an unclean way. It just felt like there was too much history on every surface. The linen on the bed was Finn and should have been updated years ago. The towels were all extremely small and thread bare. The carpet was extremely worn.

The bottom of the bathtub had those markings as if there had been non-slip matte on it at one time but it was well gone. It made the bathtub a little slippery when you had expected some traction. For my second shower I didn't even bother getting in but rather sit outside and just washed what I could.

The pool is a lot smaller than is shown in the pictures, but it does seem this spent more on the courtyard than the rooms themselves. I only ate one meal at the restaurant which was breakfast. I would have expected something like this to be included at the price in most hotels of this caliber. It was only okay, nothing great.

Again, the staff were amazing and very friendly but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone nor would I stay...

I mean , where do I even begin? I went to Fredericton for a procedure for my newborn son, it was a 2 night stay for 375$ …. Almost 200 a night….. the pictures online looked good, so i basically got catfished

Hotel looks rundown, The room was awful, dark , no fan in the bathroom, mold on the walls, Dirt piled up in the corners by the bathtub, carpets were so dirty that the bottom of my daughters feet were black……. CARPET?? Also the bedsheets didn’t cover the sides of the mattress so the mattress was exposed, and there were stains on it… they said they could provide a crib for my newborn … which was a big determining factor for me choosing to stay there …. they gave me a pack n play from the 80’s , not even joking IT was A vintage pack n play litterally from the 80’s , it was one of GRACO’s very first models … it was extremely wobbly and unstable there was no way I’d let my newborn sleep in that, it was also very soiled and stained …. I ended up having him sleep beside me in the bed …..

Also before we left in the morning for my sons surgery , we asked them to clean the room we would be gone for 3 hours … they said ok… we came back and the room wasn’t even touched, nobody cleaned but the door was left open so that was a bit sketchy …

For real never seen such a dirty hotel room …. I just felt so gross , it smelled , for the price they charge they could definitely fix this place … I mean if mold is on the outside of the wallpaper in the bathroom I can only imagine what’s on the inside of the wall even holiday inn a very clean and respectable hotel doesn’t cost that much and they keep their hotel up to date … will never ever never go again… I wanted to just leave and find a different hotel but I was scared that if I complained they’d try to keep my damage deposit because there was so much damage on the walls and carpets and stuff , that they could just say we did it , I couldn’t wait for these days to be over ,

Staff was...
