Motel Camping des Ancêtres — Hotel in Gaspé

I certainly don't want to mislead anyone to think that this place is a 4 star by any standards, but this review is based on the experience, price, convenience and location.

We rented a 2 bedroom apartment for a group of 4 which was very affordable compared to anything else in the area. I must say the place is a bit outdated and needs a bit of TLC, but for our purpose, it was totally fine. Not meant for fancy people but if you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay, get some rest and enjoy the trails in the area, it's totally fine. Quiet little chalet which is very conveniant for anyone wanting to visit forillon national park and its surrounding areas.

For anyone who is complaining about renovations, the place is not a 5 star hotel and it should be obvious before renting. The staff is very honest, good prices and just all around very comfortable place.

Chantal and her husband's service was a 10/10 and i recommend anyone to stop by here for a quiet stay or for any last minute reservations as they do their best to give out a helping hand...

The only reason this gets more than one star is that the room wasn't actually disgusting. The motel is poorly positionned (no view), they have a cathodic TV, the wind makes a ton of noise for some reason and the water had to be boiled. If you can go a few more kilometers farther do it, the only thing this place had going for it was a clean bed. Also don't expect anywhere near decent wifi or cell reception. Not horrible...
