We are in Gaspésie on holiday and We read the reviews on this restaurant and were eager to come and try the dish " l'assiette du pêcheur".

The plate is priced at 130$ for 2 people. We had very high expectations on this dish and we were very eager and happy to try it I must say that we were straight out disappointed.

The plate presentation was nice and full of variety of fish ( fyi : no crabe or lobster) but the disappointing part was when it arrived. NO ONE took the time to explain what everything on the display was. I was expecting a better service.... I did ask the waiter when he walked by to explain a fish but he was hasty to reply and leave. ( The restaurant was not full by the way).

The food was relatively good but it was not exceptional as I would have expected it to be for that price. 130$ for the plate was very expensive for what it was, The butterfly shrimps were a Tadd overcooked an dry. I thinks reasonable pricing for the plate would have been 80-100$.

All evening we barely had any service, we were hastily asked if the food was good whilst barely listening to our comments and walking away... We then saw that same waiter take time and talk and laugh with other customers that he seemed to know therefore we know that the service could have been better...

We also had the creme brulé which was homemade but it was gelatinous, not creamy therefore not that fantastic. Also, a MAJOR TURN OFF on our experience was when we were finishing up the creme brulé and the waiter came along and gave us our bill receipt. (We had not asked for our receipt yet and would have probably ordered another drink) . When he delivered the bill the waiter mentioned that we could take our time before paying. He probably said this when he saw the look of confusion on our faces. I have to admit that I was extremely insulted and disappointed by this , we ate at other restaurants in Gaspésie and the waiters came up to us and requested if we wanted anything else or the receipt before bringing the receipt to us.

The lack of service we received this evening, is extremely disappointing. I would have expected more. Especially considering the amount our diner cost ( over 200$).

I would have liked to think it was probably an off day for this waiter and let the disappointment go but considering that we saw him talking and being friendly to other tables... We also had another waitress come over to refresh our water or remove dishes from outer table. She came over once to replenish our water.

I did not enjoy my experience and do not recommend this...

Cute little motel facing the water, we were hoping for one of the room with the big windows/nice view.||However we ended up with a room on the second floor, the ceiling were kind of comically low and our room had view on the not so scenic backyard.||The sounds insulation was a bit disapointing as we could follow the conversation of the couple next door.||We were excited for the included breakfast since we had had almost none of those in our entire trip throught gaspesie, unfortunatly we were told that the breakfast took the shape of a ''lunch box'' to be kept in our room's mini fridge. The lunch box was quite disapointing as it contained 2 small yogourt (no spoon) as well as 2 juice box and 2 corner store muffins.||The toilet facing the glass bathroom door (even with a privacy film) remains a little bit awkward, even for a couple.||We had a small tv in our room but none of the controller worked to change the channel, so only one channel could be watched.||We were told the wifi was a bit tricky to join, which it was, only worked on one of our two phone (never worked on the other) and was so slow it was unusable, even on the...

Had a wonderful overnight road trip stay at this place. Wonderful view from our motel deck chairs while we sipped on our pre dinner cocktail. Had an amazing seafood feast at the hotel restaurant, seafood platter for two as amazing with lots of food to share. Our group also had the steak and seafood dinner, which was extremely good and we all started with a delicious bowl of French onion soup. If you’re looking for an overnight spot while travelling this beautiful area I’d recommend staying here. Rooms were clean and newly renovated.
