I strongly recommend visiting this amazing farm. It sits on a hill overlooking a scenic valley, food for the eyes no matter the season. There's plenty of snow in the winter, beautiful and vibrant foliage in the fall, and awesome weather in the spring and summer time. This farm offers educational and fun tours, a perfect family friendly activity where you not only get to meet the magnificent Icelandic sheep, but also learn about the farming process. They also sell authentic and high quality merchandise made from 100% real Icelandic sheep wool, raised on this very farm. It's a vast property, so that's not all this location has to offer. It also features several cabins and walking trails that truly give you the experience of living out in the peaceful wilderness of rural Ontario. It's in a great location, less than 20 minutes away is the lake, and nearby there are some really nice nature hikes that I also strongly recommend checking out. All and all, great place to spend the day with the family, or for a stay in the isolated cabins. Lynn and Catherine, the owners, are very knowledgeable, hospitable and friendly, and overall great people! I am certain you will have a great time...
Read moreI stayed at the Kimberview cabin for 2 nights in October. It was about a 5 minute walk from the parking area. The owners were very friendly and communicated well. The cabin came with plenty of amenities to make the stay more comfortable beyond what were mentioned in the website description. The views were awesome and I had some great walks through the fields. Despite it being October, the cabin was warm due to the propane heater. I didn't do the workshops or the farm tour so I can't comment on those. The farm is in pretty close proximity to Collingwood and Thornbury so there is tons to do even if you're not that into hiking or the outdoors. I would go...
Read moreMe and my partner went on a tour today with Lynn who was very responsive and accommodating with timings over email. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a beautiful cat and dog who accompanied us on a very educational tour where we learned about Icelandic Sheep, their Guardian donkey, and nearby community. Lynn is a host to a farmer’s market and also has beautiful horses and a riding arena. The sheep were very friendly and spent time sitting with us and cuddling us, begging for pets much like most cats and dogs would. I recommend it 100% to anyone interested in exploring and learning natural-organic agriculture and small scale...
