Bayview Cottages — Hotel in Havelock-Belmont-Methuen

This past July was the first time visiting Bayview Cottages, and you can be certain, it won't be my last - what a wonderful place! Ian and Marcy have an absolute gem of a spot on beautiful Round Lake. the cottages are clean, the lake is gorgeous, the fishing is fantastic, and all of the guests there were extremely friendly and welcoming, most of them repeat customers. Whether you are there with your family for summer fun on the beach, or, like me, just looking to get away for a few days of fishing, you will not be disappointed. From the immaculate grounds, to the comfortable accommodations, to the gracious hosts who accommodate each and every request, this is a winning spot for a summer getaway. Absolutely amazing experience at Bayview Cottages this past weekend. Marcy and Ian were incredible hosts and really helped set us up for the weekend. Cottage was clean and the surrounding areas were well maintained. We spent most of the trip on the lake, since the canoes and kayaks were available for use. Round lake is especially beautiful during sunrise and sunset (we were catching the early sunrise on the canoe, kayaks and paddle boat). Firepit by the lake gave some stunning views as well. The lake is quite weedy, but small area to swim and dip your feet in that's clear of all the plants. Very happy with the cottage, and look forward to...

Very nice grounds and a great place for families and young children. That said, the "Maple" cottage we staying in is pretty dated and in need of some TLC.. Price was a little steep for the condition of that cottage, can't speak to the condition of the others, but they look a little more up to date, at least from the outside. Also, no wifi, and pretty much no cell signal unless you go back up to the roadway. An update to the cottage plus wifi would raise this review up one or two stars (a four, or perhaps a five), as the area is very nice and people...
