Breathtaking. Words cannot describe this place - and photos do not do justice to the beauty of the Hazelton Mountains in the background. My husband and I arrived after office hours, but were able to pull up to a large, well-groomed site right by the Skeena River to set up our tent. The owner was very friendly and helpful despite us having not booked a site in advance, and though it drizzled a few times throughout our stay, we had a perfect experience here.
The grounds are within a 5-10 minute walk to the historic town of Hazelton, where signs for a self-guided walking tour help take you through the area. Due to COVID, the 'Ksan Historical Village was not open to tours - but we were still able to wander the grounds.

The Ksan Campground is managed and operated by the Gitanmaax Band and is nestled between the Bulkley River and the stunning Roche De Boule Mountain Range. Read moreThe hosts on the campground were the friendliest people ever! The campground has beautiful surroundings and an absolutely stunning view over the mountains. It is very well-equipped with everything you need, including wood for campfires. Vising K’san is absolutely worth the trip, we (visiting from Europe) learned so much about the tribe in a very personal tour given at the museum next door. Also the sleepy town of Hazelton is so nice (plus you can get cute little Hazelton-pins at the tourist office where a friendly lady can help you picking all sorts...
