We arrived at night in pouring rain and had to leave early the next morning in heavy fog, so your experience may differ in some regards. Our room was nice and clean with a kitchenette we didn’t know would be there. This charming 1967-vintage motel on the edge of the magnificent St. Lawrence River is sparkling clean and well maintained, the beds are comfortable, and it is amazingly quiet (no noise at all between rooms when we were there). The proprietress welcomed us warmly, forgave us for our poor French, and urged us to turn up the heat in the room to counter the chill of the blustery late-October night. Depuis une dizaine d'années, j’ai le plaisir de séjourner au Motel Cap-Blanc. Cet endroit est devenu pour moi un véritable refuge : calme, simple, avec une vue imprenable sur le fleuve, comme si celui-ci entrait directement dans la chambre !
Les propriétaires sont exceptionnelles et se soucient du bienêtre de leurs visiteurs, ce qui crée une ambiance chaleureuse et respectueuse.
L’atmosphère paisible de cet endroit est frappante. On s’endort au son des vagues, puis, au réveil, on ne voit que le fleuve à l’horizon. C’est une véritable bouffée d’air frais. Le coucher de soleil se produit juste devant nous, un spectacle qu’on ne se lasse jamais de contempler.
Le motel possède également un charme rétro assumé. Son affiche au néon, ses chaises Solair colorées et ses lits trois quarts évoquent des souvenirs de vacances d’autrefois, mais dans le bon sens du terme. Ce style contribue à son authenticité et à son atmosphère distincte. On apprécie également les équipements offerts dans la chambre, qui sont parfaits pour cuisiner simplement.
Une suggestion : pensez à réserver tôt, car cet endroit est extrêmement prisé. Une fois qu’on y a gouté, on ne peut s’empêcher...
