We just had our wedding at The Lodge on Harrison Lake and woweee is this a hidden gem! When we first came to check out the Lodge a year and a half ago, they weren't quite done their renovations and we signed our contract with blind faith that the reception area would be as stunning as the view that accompanied it. Well, Jason has done an incredible job investing in this space and the venue only added to creating the wedding of our dreams!
The property is stunning - let's give a million cheers for that view - but also the perfect landscaping, the thoughtful details like the wood carvings and varied spots and BBQ areas to connect and gather, the most perfect ceremony space with that arbour (omg that arbour!!!), wagons to help with easy unloading and a reception tent that popped right out of a fairy tale to welcome friends and loved ones to celebrate. Not to mention, it's pet friendly so our furry loved ones could be part of every moment of our weekend.
The rooms are so beautiful. They're varied in size and layout to support different guest needs - from couples to families. The spaces are thoughtfully designed to make the most of every nook and cranny, while taking advantage of the incredible view as much as possible. For example, the bathrooms in the main and carriage houses are designed so that multiple people can use it at one time. Fully stocked kitchens made hosting easy, steamers and hair dryers meant we were ready for every moment, and having the whole property to host our guests was nothing short of amazing! The bridal suite was the room of my dreams - jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The new cabins
Read moreMy wife and I (with our dog) stayed 2 nights in August 2024 in one of the two Cabins. Location is spectacular and accommodations good (very dog friendly). We believe a few suggestions to ownership are in order to improve future guest experiences for what it costs to stay here. Maintenance needs attention: the latch on the entry gate to our cabin area was broken. The exterior windows of our cabin to the magnificent views of the lake could be cleaned more regularly as they has cob webs/debris etc that interfered with some of the lake view. The Kitchen is highlighted as "fully stocked" but it is not. It is a beautiful kitchen but it had no wine glasses, lacked a sheet pan to reheat food, had no good pot for boiling water for pasta and had no olive oil or spices (beside salt and pepper) so if you plan on cooking yourself you will be disappointed. We used the BBQ both nights (which had not been cleaned) and we ran out of propane on the second night but were able to secure another tank nearby that has some propane left in it so we were able to cook our dinner (just). The Tub overlooking the water is awesome but there were no candles provided and no robes for use by guests (disappointing). Lastly, if you want privacy, we recommend no staying in either of the two cabins as the properties beach access area is right in the front of the two cabins, so any other guests can look right into your cabin if they use this area (which we were not aware of before booking our stay. Overall the location of this property is fantastic and we would stay there again, just not in one of the cabins. We would like to try the Geodome and hope that the lodge management looks into putting more effort into the maintenance of the property and re-stocking units with various kitchen supplies if they continue to promote there kitchens as "fully stocked" , particularly if guests are paying top dollar to stay in the accommodations at this location. The views of the lake are...
Read moreMy (now) husband and I were fortunate enough to get MARRIED at The Lodge on Harrison Lake earlier this month (ahh!! It was AMAZING). From start to finish, our experience with Shyla, the wedding coordinator and point of contact at The Lodge for weddings (Valley Weddings), and the owner, Jason, were amazing and responsive! They made our entire experience seamless and so easy. We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights - on the first night, we stayed in the Main Residence, which housed 9 of us comfortably. On the second night (the night of our wedding), we had reserved all of the rooms onsite for all of our wedding guests. Payment was made easy as our guests were able to contact the Lodge directly - a bonus for us and one less thing for us to look after! It was an amazing and unforgettable experience to be able to have all of our family stay onsite. We didn’t have to worry about people driving home after a wedding, as most of our guests stayed onsite. In total, my husband, myself and our guests stayed in the Main Residence, Carriage House, and the 4 suites. We had the entire property to ourselves! It was amazing. The accommodations were beautiful, clean, modern and the layout was well designed. You can really tell that a lot of thought was put into all of the details. The kitchens were fully stocked as well. Plus, the view… it can’t be beat. There was even a sauna installed outside, which we can’t wait to try when we return, which we definitely will! In addition to all of that, we even went on a yacht ride, captained by the owner, Jason. He was VERY informative and a lovely host! 100% recommend. We can’t wait to be back. This place will forever hold a special place...
