It was our second visit to Domaine Frais Air! First was 3 years ago. This place is usually fully booked for the summer and quite fast as it is hidden gem. I was lucky to stumble on a cancellation while looking on their website and booked right away for mid August. Went there as a family of 5 with 3 young kids. The little chalets overlook the St Lawrence river and La Malbaie city. Also a good location to stay at, as not too far from Tadoussac and Baie St Paul, where we ventured during daytime. The chalet had a fully equipped kitchenette, really clean!! Grocery stores nearby and we could cook our meals which really helped with young kids. We stayed in the béjaune which was perfect for our little family. Kids were able to run around freely, we had campfire on site. The owners were really helpful/approachable and made sure our stay was memorable. To note, during our first visit, we left in a hurry and forgot our kid's cap. My husband and I rented the Chalet Astral for 5 superb days this July. I am surprised the place is listed as a hotel on trip advisor. It should be a holiday rental. The location is probably the best in the region because there is a terrific view of the town of La Malbaie as well as the St-Laurence. The chalets are fully equipped and roomy for two people. I was impressed by the cleanliness. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The neighbors were quietly respectful and it was a perfect getaway to relax and breathe the fresh air. BBQ's are available. It is a great location to explore this beautiful part of Québec. Advice - reserve early as the chalets are quickly booked. The photos of the chalets on the Domaine Frais Air website are truely representative of the location. We will definetly return to the region and choose to stay at...
