Chalet Arizona - Location4Saisons — Hotel in Labelle

Disclaimer: this is nothing against the property itself, it was beautiful & clean. That being said, our stay was the most traumatic experience we’ve ever had in our lives.

Firstly, this booking clearly states it rooms up to 16 people & we were far less than that number. Even after the new provincial restrictions, we were given the go for the Airbnb. It wasn’t until we got there that we saw a letter on the table stating that the Airbnb can only host 1 family from the same address. The following morning we had someone randomly come into our airbnb, claiming to be the owner and advising that they were fixing the wifi which the host did not let us know about. Minutes after they left, the chalet was stormed by 3 cop cruisers & we had no idea why.

Having someone randomly walk into the cabin without notice is one thing, however having the cottage surrounded for 7 hours by police was unacceptable, especially because all of our guests are people of colour & the current climate between police & people of colour is less than favorable. We expected the host to take more of a hands on approach when dealing with the situation, but simply deflected it...

A really average experience, feels like the owners invested once and are letting the whole place slowly decay. In the master's bathroom was a missing shower door cheaply replaced by an over-sized shower curtain and caulking was falling apart. Kitchen amenities were ok at best except for the tired old dishwasher, a disgusting teapot full of mushy whatever (that was supposed to get replaced but never was) and the two non-functional toasters. The worst thing was that the shower on the first floor leaked down in the kitchen pantry. All in all the place looks and is kinda cozy but if you start looking left & right, you'll find enough to convince you that there are better places less far...

Really good stay here for a big party. A lot of space to have some downtime for yourself. Only detail is that if this is a chalet that holds 16 people might want to invest in a second fridge in the basement.

Took one star off because this chalet is VERY difficult to find even with a GPS, especially at night. Might want to invest in some signage or some lights around...
