This was our first time going to Sturgeon Woods Campground, we stayed in the cabin on Maple. There is another cabin on Willow just down from the bathroom, but it is a smaller lot and cabin. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The cabin we rented was very clean and conveniently located near the bathroom, and a 5 min walk to the swimming pools, water slide and rec centre. We had a large space both inside the cabin and outside sitting around the campfire. We found that we had a nice cross breeze coming off the small pond which can be seen from the site. The cabin came with a air conditioner, couch, small table and chairs, small fridge, coffee maker, microwave, broom and dustpan. The mattresses are not very comfortable, so you should bring a topper, or you can double up one of the top mattresses on the bottom bunk, which we did. There is only one bathroom, and it's a campground bathroom with three showers, nothing special about it. There is a small splash pool inside the domed rec centre, which is great for small children or if you just want to get out of the sun. Pools were very clean and thankfully very cool as it was very, very hot this weekend. They have different activities going on all day for something to do. TripAdvisor pictures are a little out of date, there is no outside splash pad and the small playground that was behind where our cabin was is no longer there. We hope to go back again next year as we had a wonderful time.||||I have added photo's of our cabin and the smaller one too. ( the couple staying there let us take a...
Read moreWe stopped by to look at a trailer advertised that had one of the few floor plans we had decided to check out .
We were greeted by the of sales and General Manage/Sales Mike M. Mike chatted with my wife about what we were interested at looking at . Mike proceeded to take us to look at a few units on the lot and asked if we were interested in a new unit with a floor plan we had not seen. We were apprehensive about high pressure sales pitch as we didn’t think New would be in our budget.
To our surprise the unit he showed us checked all of our boxes including the price. There was no pressure and the price offered for our current unit on Trade was a very fair price.
We made the decision to purchase but as we were on holidays at the time we needed a very quick turnaround. The entire team Mike, Sheri in finance and the service department went above and beyond to make the transition from one unit to another seamless.
During the walk through John in service suggested a few add ons we should consider, surge protector etc.. his advice was informative and he was able to do the work while we were there. There was no pressure to purchase any of these options, which left us feeling comfortable.
We viewed the trailer on Monday made the decision to purchase Monday evening and drove off their lot very satisfied on Wednesday afternoon.
We left with confidence and great satisfaction with how all of the Sturgeon Woods RV sales and service family respectively treated my wife and I ..
I would highly recommend...
Read moreWe stayed here for 2 nights. The pricing was high but the website showed lots for the kids to do so we decided to give it a try. Most of the sites in here are seasonal so we probably stuck out like a sore thumb. Reception desk person didn’t smile once and was not friendly. We were on a corner lot near the pool/entrance to the park and cars whipped by here all day not following the 10 km/h speed. There was broken shattered glass all over the cement pad on our site and my nephew cut his foot open. ||||The pool didn’t open until 10 every day and the water slide didn’t open until 1. The pool doesn’t allow life jackets, only water wings. They have 3 pairs you can borrow and don’t sell any so plan accordingly. The indoor pool/splash pad area was run down and only about 3 of the 6 water sprayers worked. The life guards were less than friendly. Kids weren’t allowed to jump in the pool or have any kind of normal pool fun. My son met the height requirement for the waterslide but the lifeguard kept giving him a hard time and initially wouldn’t let him go down even though I was right there. God forbid they had to do their job and watch kids swim/slide. ||||The arcade area was run down and half of the games didn’t work and just took the kids quarters. ||||The bathrooms were on the other end of the park which was a very long walk for little kids. They were clean but inconvenient. ||||At best this place was okay, but we don’t plan...
