Pourvoirie Villa Basque — Hotel in Montcerf-Lytton

Belle petite (grande!) camping en plein baskatong!

On a loué le chalet #2 pour visiter nos amis au camping roulotte.

(I will translate into French later, just quickly getting review down before I forget stuff!)

Pros: Nice clean beach, swimming areas. Boaters on lake are respectful for the most part. Fire pit and table with parking at each chalet. Hot water (hot! :-) ) and power in the chalets. Clean well maintained campground. Owner is well liked by families that stay there. Pans and cutlery and glassware and plates in good condition. Registration was easy and office staff were great. Info ahead of time is amazing and they have a "what to pack" and "what to expect" list.

Cleaning protocols for COVID19 are on point. Great work on this and campers give good room to other campers.

Things to improve: Only one plugin in kitchen, but microwave takes up one plug. Juggling coffee maker and toaster and kettle around breakfast. Easy fix if they know an electrician. Dish rack drains onto counter (soaking what we had on there). Needs to be propped up to drain properly into sink. Bathroom door gets blocked shut by drawers if they get left open. Bedroom doorknob was replaced with a weird handle that is hard to grasp. They should have added a handle because you have to open the door inward. Door got stuck at one point on our last day. Fire hazard. Locks on inside doors (ie bathroom) are hard to engage and disengage) Smoke alarm goes off if you make toast (even if not burnt). Date was 2014... Maybe needs to be cleaned or replaced? Shower was fine for me (5'10") but if you're any taller, the short showerhead will frustrate you.

Either way, super happy with our stay. We'll be back next...

Une pourvoirie digne d'un 5 étoile. Les propriétaires sont chaleureux et serviables La plage est longue et magnifique. Le chalet ainsi que les lieux sont d'une propreté remarquable.
