I had the opportunity of staying here when a friend's daughter held her wedding nearby. The lobby area and restaurant look quite modern and touched up, lots of windows with great lighting. There's a seating area just outside with some lounge chairs where you can soak in the sun. Staff was cordial and friendly. Now.. I can handle "datedness". Especially if facilities are functioning & clean (and pricing has been adjusted to reflect this - I can't comment as the room was paid for by someone else). I only saw the interior of the room we were booked in and it was indeed, very dated. The large brown smear on the white bed spread was a bit of a turn off. Now it could have been pudding, mud from someone's clothing... at least that's what I've been trying to convince myself but the fact that I could see the shape of butt cheeks on either side of this stain really made it difficult. Even if this beautiful gift from someone's arse turned out to be a rust stain from the laundry, in what universe would anyone think it was a good idea to not just throw that comforter out and grab another.. instead of flipping it over and hoping the guest didn't notice the skidmark against their toes. I'm sure the restaurant is lovely but I don't think I'll be spending any of my own money here.

We’ve just recently been coming to the restaurant and we’re both very happy with the portions and prices. Wings night has us wondering if our downtown favorite is actually serving a full pound because Riverside gives more wings and they’re bigger than our other place. Go on Thursday for dem vings!! Some people just order and pick up. Staff and food are very friendly too!

Beautiful property and lovely hotel! A perfect getaway from the city, the hotel is right on the water with walking trails around the acreage. Rooms are nice and you can also rent private cottages with more space + kitchen amenities! The restaurant and bar has everything you need and staff are friendly. Overall great vibes :)

There was a mix up right from the time of booking. I thought i was paying for upgraded rooms with a fridge so we never brought a cooler for the food. We ended up having to switch rooms, the room we switched to was not preheated and was extreamly cold. One heater was not working properly (we rented two rooms) so I thought to unplug it and plug it back in to see if that would help, i ended up not plugging it back in cause one of the sockets were burned and it had melted the plastic of the plug in, Huge fire hazard right there. my sister also found a pill by the bed and we had had kids with us playing on the floor, which to me is very scary. Due to the plug in damage we were switched rooms for a second time into yet another very cold room, these cold rooms made it very hard to enjoy the swimming that we wanted to do in the pool, which again was very cold as well and the kids ended up shivering for a good while till we gave them a bath (one bath tub had 3 bugs in it my sister had discovered) There was also ice up against the wall inside the carpet and over all the stay was turning into a horrible time, i paid for the whole thing cause i remembered good times here when i went with my family and I wanted to do the same thing again with my sister and our friends and have the kids have fun too.... And the best the hotel would offer was a $20 breakfast coupon for our troubles, we had 6 adults and 2 children with us. $20 was not going to do much considering i would have to pay more as it was $9.00 a breakfast plate.... We were not even planning on having breakfast there as that was the whole point of the first switch to the fridge as we had brought our own food. So they gave us $20 off the hotel rooms instead which to me was not much of compensation... As it was like "here the upgraded rooms are free" ....cool... Thanks for giving us free upgraded rooms that froze our butts off. I keep trying to like the hotel as it waa my favorite get away in winter when i was a kid!, but even the last time we went the pool was slimy and not clean at all. I doubt I will ever go back now, and this makes me sad. Nobody that came with me was impressed with the place especially my boyfriend and we are about to have a kid of our own and I doubt I will be able to show this place to our child with the impression my boyfriend got of this place.... And the things that we found does not put me at sound either. If they upgraded the place and fixed the things that need to be fixed, maybe we will go back... I would want to go back for memory sake, but right now... I don't...

Disappointing cottage stay. Although the staff was friendly, restaurant food was good and the cabins sounding nice, the cost wasn’t worth it.||||Cons:||1. We were met with the situation explained below. (No maintenance/cleaning)||||2. Hot tub at the pool area is literally a huge tub that is hot. Jets are very weak to simply circulate the water, so it feels like a community bath.||||3. Cleaning is done every 2nd day so garbage accumulates quickly (we were 5) and we are expected to leave the garbage outside (?! Makes no sense given the fact that we are in the woods...hi squirrels!)||||4. Cabin was very damp/humid so bed sheets, towels and clothes are uncomfortable, slightly gross to use/wear.||||5. Inconvenience of having only 1 pot and 1 element to cook with in kitchenette. Counter space is limited.||||5. Scenery from the porch isn’t great. Just plastic chairs, plastic bucket filled with cigarettes and the woods. ( that bucket should be metal)||||||Situation:|| I stayed in the cabin with my family (grandmother, mother, my 2 sisters), upon arrival they said that our cabin had just finished being cleaned, but the floors were soaked! (We weren’t gonna let my 89 year old grandmother fall and break a hip) I walked in to check it out and the light switch in the bathroom didn’t work. We informed reception where we were told to wiggle the switch a couple times for it to work. Nit an option, especially being with my grandmother.||||Our cabin was switched, but it seemed that they mopped just to make it seem that they cleaned.
