Orchard View Cottages — Hotel in North Rustico

We first stayed here about 12 years ago, and loved the cottages, the price (we always visit after Labour Day when they are cut in half - 12 years ago $78/night and this year $90/night) - a small amount for what you get,||This was our 4th time there in the past 12 years.||They have 11 cottages - and are all filled with the little touches that make you feel right at home. ||First - they are spotless and clean, have a master bedroom with a queen sized bed and a second bedroom with 2 smaller beds.||The bathroom is bright and comes with a Jacuzzi bathtub and shower, lots of clean towels, as well as quality toiletries.||The kitchen has modern appliances and all the pots/pans/cutlery and dishes needed to cook a good meal.||The furniture is comfortable and they have a sat-TV with a great selection of channels for the occasional rainy day.||Be sure to book/call ahead - when most of the other cottages have vacancy signs - this one fills quickly. We recently stayed at Orchard View Cottages for our 4th time. We are pleased to see updates pretty much every year. However, what really prompted me to write a second review is to comment on the service. ( See my previous review for other attributes). We’ve stayed at various cottages / resorts in the area for 25 summers. Never have we received the level of friendly, timely service we receive at Orchard View. Any request we make is dealt with promptly and we often hear the phrase “Is there anything you need?” , even if Darren just happens to meet us in the yard. Wonderful kind hosts, very clean cottages and grounds. This property sits atop a wide open area with great views of the farmlands and sea. The big pros for us were all amenities are very close by, the lack of insects (because of the open area these cottages are on) and having our own private fire pit area where we watched the sun go down every evening. If you are early risers the sunrise which sparkles over the sea as it rises each clear morning is a great way to start your day. Book well in advance as these cottages are in high demand.
