That is an outright lie. It’s a very valid credit card and we used the wrong one. We offered to give our other credit card, and were told we aren’t a right fit? Because a card didn’t work? Not because it’s false credit info? Why on earth would someone give you false credit info? So no, you’re wrong and denied a family a camping spot when we wanted to pay with another card or cash: super weird and rude and if nothing else discriminatory. I don’t care how long you have been open for. We would have been potential campers for years to come as it’s a big reason we moved north: I will not have my name tarnished and have weird people spew lies saying we tried to pay with a false credit card. Unreal. It’s huge red flags for us. Not you. We definitely know to stay away from this park. We won’t let this ruin our adventure north and I’m sure we will find a park who doesn’t discriminate if a card declines and you have to use a different card. I’ve worked in many service industry positions and never in my life at any position would I ever or even have been allowed to turn someone away because a card declined and they offered to pay another way. It’s cruel and has left us between a rock and hard place with two kids in row excited to camp. I was not going to just...

HAPPY LAND?? What a misnomer! It couldn't be further from the truth as far as I am concerned. Quite simply there were no amenities in this RV park ...not even access to the Laundry. Picnic tables were piled against all doors leading to washrooms and showers and laundry as if the locks on the doors weren't enough. The hostess, Teresa was adamant that it was for the safety of everyone, but her actions suggested it was just for her. When I tried to get into the office she was holding the door on the other side and yelled "No! You cannot come in here. Stay outside!" She kept holding the door. When asked about why she was charging the same for sites as she previously charged when all amenities were open and available she said that at least she had not raised the rates. What kind of answer is that? ||This was another example of sheer laziness and using Covid as the excuse or it was her excessive fear of catching Covid herself rather than the interests of her guests that was the more pressing reason. Given that the campground is located 23 kms from town it was highly problematic trying to get laundry done and she had no suggestions for any alternatives. A very...

Stayed in fhu pull through spot #45 mid June. Grass and gravel but level. Lots of mature trees. Very nice RV park. A mix of mobile homes (permanent residents) and RV sites. Quiet. Great location close to the Falls. Good wi-fi. Clean bathrooms. Separate shower house. Shower fixtures hang down from ceiling and because of that it seems to be a bit cooler of a shower either due to lack of water pressure or just the air space in-between. Also, some showers have timers to get water running. It didn't warm up right away and found that some showers got hotter than others. But all and all were fine and did the job. I didn't use it but have a laundry area. There is a pool but that was closed for repairs during my stay. The office has a little gift shop which is nice. On my last night, they had a happy hour with live music and light snacks. BYOB. That was nice. The power did go out a couple times during my stay. Once for a little bit during the day and then once over night due to a storm in the area. But I don't believe there was anything the park could have done to prevent it. I would definitely stay there again.

If you’re passing by, this is the place to be. Theresa and her family caretaker this campground extremely well. They’re friendly and helpful and groom the extensive beautiful grounds wonderfully. The pool and hot tub were amazing. We had so much space to walk the dog, even designated dog trails leading to a pond with eagles. Nearby Kakabeka falls is walkable and spectacular. I highly recommend this campground. Drive through level sites. Lots of trees. Playground and fields galore for kids to play. If I ever pass through again I’m staying here. Just 20 minutes from Thunder Bay

Pros - close to the falls, easy to get to, easy to book, full hook-up sites. Cons - so close to the highway, traffic can be heard, fire "pits" are the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen, they are too small for the wood sold on site therefore sparks were flying everywhere - in my hair, on surrounding vegetation, grass, etc. We could not sit close enough to feel the heat or roast marshmallows. As far as things to do on the camp site, there isn't much. Was disappointed in the lack of wildlife.
