Terrible experience. We arrived on Friday only to be told our site, that we booked weeks in advance, was occupied. We were told that the people on the site were overstaying their welcome and the park employees couldn’t get a hold of them. My son, wife and I waited 2 hours at the front desk before the park realized it was in fact their mistake as they booked both of us on the same lot. Note, they use a binder for reservations, no computer system at all, and nobody had a concrete answer.
Our next option was to stay on a lot they informed us was booked weeks ago, that was now vacant. As much as I appreciated this, our trailer is 34 feet and would not fit the extremely small lot.
We ended up staying on a group lot without power for the night as a final result, and with no other feasible option.
On Sunday, our friends who reserved lot 11 ended up leaving as they had a terrible experience with the water system. The “fresh” water smells horrible, like excrement.
Later that night the park booked another couple in lot 11, which was already paid for by our friends, therefore, double charging for the lot.
I highly recommend just driving past this park as it’s dirty, loud and not a great experience.
This is my first and only time I’ll visit...
Read moreOn first arrival at the campsite, it seemed very nice. The lady at the office was very kind. After getting to our assigned campsite we find out that there is ABSOLUTELY NO PICNIC TABLE. How can you have a campsite with no table? Especially for the $43 it was for a non-serviced site. I expected wayyyyyy more for that price point. The disappointment continues. The only outhouse nearby had no hand sanitizer and the door was nearly impossible to lock. It seems as though all money went into the shower house, it’s definitely a nice facility and very clean but a good bathroom doesn’t mean a good campsite. The forest looks dense from a satellite view, but it’s really just skinny pine trees with no privacy. The cherry on top was the obviously seasonal resident running their generator from 9pm to at least 8am. Most campsites have rules that generators can only be run during the day, as to not disturb tenters. This campsite sucked and I would recommend you to go somewhere else. Even though it had a nice beach it didn’t feel nice at all as there is a whole bunch of seasonal campers with their big trailers right along the beach, as well as all of their boats and jet skis moored not far from the shore. I am overall dissatisfied with...
Read moreStayed here in a 30' motorhome, June 2018. Price was okay for 1 week with water and electric hook up only. We stayed in the "new" area which has large sites but no lawn, sites consisted of dirt, sand and many pine needles, found it very difficult to stay clean :( Originally we were booked to stay in the older area and glad that we had been moved as people were packed in so tightly there, we wouldn't have fit into the spot assigned. The washroom/shower was a new building in the old area and very nice, no fee for using the shower and nicely equipped for a handicap person as well. Very nice sandy beach and quite shallow. The hosts are very helpful and accommodating even including campers into their Aboriginal Day...
