Tbh sandbanks was ok..the beach 5 stars..restaurant good and staff 5 stars..everything else 0 stars..the poison ivy alone was insane..it's legit everywhere..our whole campsite was covered our actual campsite where our children were supposed to play and live for the week...they couldn't actually enjoy any thing about camping because everywhere was covered..I had suit up just to plug our trailer in..the pole where we were supposed to put our permit was covered in poison ivy..when we told the office the offered to weed whack it..so then it would literally be everywhere l..no thanks..we have small dogs and young kids..plus no parks for the kids to play and the whole park is huge and unless you camp in the outlet beaches you're far away from everything definitely not walking distance from beach or anything really..but obviously the beach is amazing but that is literally it!! I wouldn't book again..I'd go for the day but not for...

We had a wonderful few nights however, I was disappointed by the fire and that we don’t receive a digital (email/text/phone) notice about it. I had to spend much more than planned for that. I realized later the notice was on the website but I believe there should be an automatic system of alerting campers to such events. It can be quite challenging specially to families with children. Second issue was the young lady at the counter of the entrance stop. Not the one by the window but the lady at the desk. She was nice but absolutely clueless and dazed! She had no idea what to do about anything. I wonder if she was properly trained and assessed before being employed. She definitely lacked self esteem which is not good. I hope the managers would provide her the help she needs to learn or move on. Other than that, The campsite was well...

Sandbanks is an absolutely beautiful campground. Their beach front sites are spectacular and the sunsets alone make this location worth the trip (a few shots attached) (10/10). Blue water as far as you can see and the sandy beach stretches out for nice long walks (10/10). The showers and bathrooms are well maintained (9/10). The town of Picton is close by if you want to hit a restaurant or find replacements for anything you may have forgotten (9/10). One morning we woke to see 2 Trumpeter Swans swimming just off the shore by our site (attached picture). If you don't get a beach site, most other sites are a short walk, or you can drive to the large parking lot near the camp store and restaurant. Check it out, you'll be...

A perfect weekend getaway with friends! We were a group of about 11 friends and booked two campsites for one night. The campground was clean, peaceful, and just a short walk from the beautiful beach! We spent hours swimming, the waves were strong and made it super fun. After that, we used the nearby showers, which were convenient and clean. The real highlight was the barbecue! The campground grill was in great condition and made cooking easy. We had an amazing time grilling, playing volleyball on the sand, and relaxing under the stars. Definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a beachside camping experience with friends or family. Will be coming back again!
