We spent two nights at the campground on our cross-Canada trip. The location relative to downtown Ottawa is desirable, we drove downtown both days. The site is nicely maintained and the pool was great. We would normally rank a campground like this higher, but we were very disappointed in how our reservation was handled. When we made the reservation with Jim, we explained that we had a 34’ fifth wheel and we were told we would have site 313, which was a large back in that was easy to access due to the open sites across the road. When we arrived, we were told to park in site 315, which was across from a toilet house. Though we were grateful for the bathrooms across the road, we had a very difficult time backing in to this much smaller site. The fellow (not Jim) who checked us in had the nerve to scold us and said we should have told them we had a large trailer when we booked. Considering we booked over 30 campgrounds on our trip this summer, I think it goes without saying that we were very clear in our booking and something was missed on their end. |We were also disappointed that even though a lovely pool was accessible, you had to pay for showers, my kids couldn’t even rinse off...

Read moreThe place is wonderful. We drove 25 mins from our home to spend Canada Day Long Weekend with the kids. We stayed in the Group tenting location. The tent area is clean. The washroom is clean. They have trees where you can hang a lot of stuff. Our tent was covered with tree leaves in case it rains we are safe. There is no electricity in the tent area but it's okay. The water is accessible. And you can charge in the reception. They have tons of activities for everyone. They have a salt water pool. Which my youngest daughter loves. There are parks. When we are there they had Inflatables. Ice cream truck came in. We watch the fireworks on Canada Day. What we love on that place. The staffs are very accommodating. They are friendly. Me and husband played table tennis and basketball while the kids are in the pool. I never seen my family sleep in that much in our tent. They enjoyed the quietness and peaceful of the surroundings. No worms falling out the trees. I would like to recommend that place to anyone. If you want to escape your busy life for a bit. It feels like home...
