We stayed three days in this hotel, in an executive room, which indeed had wonderful views of the Rock, the island and the sea. However, an occasional cleaning of the windows would have helped a lot to improve the experience. The reception lady was not one of many words, except when it came to the services which are not longer offered. The lady which served during the breakfast was a lot more forthcoming. The breakfast was one of the simple kind: pre-cooked coffee, small selection of tea, melon, grapes and orange wedges, selection of yogurts, egg, potato and sausage, and simple muffins. Interestingly, the bread was next to the toaster and it were just breads as you buy them in the closest super market, packed in their plastic bag. All breakfast guests had to wiggle their hands into the bag to get a slice out. Though, on the other hand, there was no room service as per some Covid regulations? But having everyone put their hands in the bread-bag is ok? By the way, the breakfast pictures on the website showing strawberries, other berries, a croissant etc. are far from correct. There is no restaurant in the venue, except for breakfast, and the place is about 1-2 Km from Percé down-town where all the good restaurants are. There is WiFi in the hotel and rooms, but in our case, when sitting on the elevated area of the executive room, the wireless was so weak that frequent disconnects were common. The building is indeed quint and would certainly profit from a renovation. However, we slept very well in the beds. Cleanness was kind of ok, could have been better. Next time around, I would opt for some of the venues which are certainly closer to the village. Walls were thin, neighbors were...

I booked a two-night stay at Hôtel Motel La Côte Surprise through Hotels.com, where the price clearly included breakfast. At check-in, the receptionist also confirmed breakfast was included. That was the only reason we ate there.
In the end, I was overcharged well above the quoted price and billed for 10 breakfasts when we were only 4 people staying 2 nights (so it should have been 8). This kind of mistake doesn’t feel like an accident — it feels like a way to squeeze extra money from guests.
The lack of transparency and unfair billing left me feeling scammed. If you don’t want to waste time arguing over hidden charges or inflated bills, do yourself a favor and stay...
