Very nice, basic, full service park. The gravel lots are level, solid and adequately sized for most rigs. The water and sewer services are reliable. From most locations in the park the Wi-Fi is very good to excellent. Look for the Wi-Fi Repeater on top of the last cabin (there are rental cabins affiliated with the RV Park). If you have good line of sight to the antenna your Wi-Fi should be good. We were there in March (i.e. a colder month) and all units in the park would have been putting a heavy demand on the electrical system with their various heating requirements. There were some problems experienced with low voltage brown outs, etc. Park Management were good in doing what could be done with the existing electrical system. They were also good about moving units to other sites if it was thought that electrical service would be better in the alternate location. It is worth nothing that, although the Park is advertised as being fully 30 AMP, site #1 is actually a proper 50 AMP RV site. The washroom and laundry facilities are modern, clean and fully functional. Management and staff are extremely easy to deal with and go out of their way to assist guests. There is good trail access for both walking and biking, right from the Park. You also get great views of the changing tides in the river to the north and in the estuary to the south and east, all of which are within walking distance.

Cute little campground tucked away beside the river. Remotely set away from the village, if you don't have a vehicle it's about $15 to get you anywhere into town. The cabins are cozy but offer zero privacy if travelling with someone else. They came equipped with everything you need to cook for yourselves inside or use the shared BBQs out front (there are multiple) you will want to eat outside also at the multiple picnic tables or there's a table for two inside. The lighting was my only real negative. It was hard to find the right light and only one window at the front made it dark inside. And the light in the shower is right in your eyes when you look up. It also felt like the shower was set up backwards. With the accessibility bench under the faucet instead of across from it, I found it difficult to stand under the faucet and it's fixed so you can't adjust the angle either. I am 5'3".

Best place to stay in Port Hardy, especially if you have children. The cabins are always clean, and they have a great mini kitchen! Excellent for long-term stays, not expensive, laundry, fish wash station, and they are pet friendly! Everyone here is extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful! I look forward every year to stay here, so does my son, he loves the playground there! It's nice being able to sit outside on the provided chairs and for the kids to be able to run a few feet to play. BEAUTIFUL views and love the covered pavilion that comes with a BBQ and fire pit. Close to town, the ferry, water taxi, sought after hiking spots, and wildlife all around. Loved hearing the Eagles! Will see you in a couple of months, thank you again for having us!

Let’s start off with the positives, the ladies at the office were super friendly. There are lovely trails to walk down to the river and it is a very easy and beautiful walk. We just wanted a place to tidy up our motor home and have some quiet time as we just spent the night on the ferry, and it was extremely uncomfortable. Their laundry facilities were the cleanest and most reasonable prices, $2.00 to wash and $3.00 to dry and you can buy laundry pods for $1.00 each, that I have ever seen, and I should know as we live in our RV and have been to many RV parks. The site we finally were put into was fully serviced, but had no shade. So here are the negatives: we are in a 34 foot Thor Magnitude, it is a very large motor home, and we were put into a site that we did not fit, so we had to go back to the office to get a different site…This is where we had a huge issue, even if you plan to stay for one night, you have to pay for 2 nights, it is a two night minimum……..Okay, so we were willing to spend 2 nights to get our money’s worth, nope! Because the first site we were put in did not fit us, the site we were moved to ( I had already paid for two nights) was booked for the next day so we had to leave, and there were no other sites available, so she said, although we did see a few empty sites. Also, there was a planned power outage for the ENTIRE Northern Island, and do you think she took that into consideration…Nope, still had to pay for the two nights. So, it was a place to stay, I got my laundry done, and...

Absolutely horribly appalling experience. Will not recommend or ever consider staying there.

Pulled in at 830pm on Wednesday night, to one of the only camping / rv / cabin sites in Port Hardy after reading reviews of how wonderful the hosts and site was. Office looked closed, very dim lights on. No gate on property. No sign saying Reservations only, and a large red vacancy sign at the entrance. Drove thru once and saw ample sites available with no reserved signs on any. Pulled into a spot, barely finished parking, with full intentions of walking over to the office to see if anyone was there to pay for overnight stay. Before we even had the van turned off, host approached, not only telling us to leave immediately, but also threatening to call the RCMP telling us we are trespassing, accusing us of trying to sneak onto the property. We were in the first campsite across from the office, and there is no sneaking anywhere with the sound of our loud old van motor. With wallet in hand, we were not even given the chance and told to leave.

How do you treat people like this when you run a campground. IF we did anything wrong, it was that we did not stop immediately at the office, trying to be courteous to the cabins and home due to how loud our vehicle is. Needless to say, we left with our jaws dropped.

Absolutely disgusted at how rude and unwelcoming this...
