We were there 3 seasons 2017 to 2019 2017 park flooded no sewers for a bit. Owner was an axx as the people in the back rows could not even use there trailers. Owners made them pay in full. Even after we all volunteered to sand bag ( and most of us live at least and hour away and went up after work.) because if it wasent for all of us he would of lost his house. 2018 great year everybody was happy 2019 flooded again owner was an axx would not give our money back for the dock we did not use because the inlaws could not walk through the deep water to get the boat. Charged everybody full rate again and people still could not use there sewers or even get in there trailers in the back row. Pool was broken until 3 weeks before park closed for the season. They do not charge dock fees but vessel fees. I had a dock for my 20 foot boat 528.00 and the same size dock for my seadoos which under 20 feet 740.00. Standard dock fees are 420.00 Plus i was not allowed to let my friends in slip but when my boat was not there he put other peoples boats in my slip and charged them. So they were double dipping. Also dont forget all the end of the year fees. Water testing 10.00 for every trailer. (Lol you can get water testing kits for free) Land taxes never seen that before. Also i modified 3 mobility scooters to ride around we were not allowed to use them because the owners daughter told me i was not handicap. Yes they were modified for park use but were the same speed as a mobility scooter. Yet the golf carts are still ok and most of the people dont golf. They kicked us out because we would not move our brand new trailer into the flood zone. Yes the flood zone so the really affected lots are as follows. On willow bend lots 23 to 31a were flooded and no sewers but the campers toughed it out. Maple lane lots 81 to 91 were not even accessible due to high waters. The park FLOODS Plus when seasonals asked to be moved out of the flood zone the owners said no and they rented the dry sites to new people. We agreed at the end of 2018 to move our trailer but after seeing what happend with the flooding we said no and they gave us a letter to leave. They are crooks and the owners need to get some people skills. There is to much to list. More cons than pros. There are some great people still there but are slowly leaving. There are better parks out there for less money and you get way more for your buck. Have a great day and...
Read moreWas driving to visit some friends which were staying here when we got cut off by a red pickup truck which didn't stop at a stop sign entering the main road off the road just north. After hanging a right into the park following the pickup we passed him because he was going 5 km per hour. We proceeded going roughly 40 km per hour slowly turned around and parked. My wife and I were approached by a man who came flying down the road in his kubota utility. The man can right up to me intimidating me and yelling at us telling us to shut up..he is the owner of this park and that I am trespassing etc etc. Very unpleasant and unprofessional behavior. My wife and the people we were visiting tried to de escalate his behavior to no avail. I gave up got back into my truck and we left. The gentleman had no right to show such aggression and behavior. He has no idea who I am and what we are like as humans to yell and portray such childish behavior. He didn't even have the nerve to show up in the red pickup truck he was driving because he knew had run a stop sign prior to entering the park so he had to switch vehicles to his kubota so we wouldn't know it was him we passed. What a joke. He's definitely a peice of work. Respect goes a long way especially when your in the hospitality business. Good luck in the future, perhaps you should work on your behavior. Maybe take some therapy course to deal with...
Read morePros: Quiet Well-maintained Friendly staff Very Clean pool and basketball was a nice touch. Laundry (2 machines each) and washroom facilities clean Dog park nice size and clean Kids play area was large and lots of play stuff for younger kids with basketball and beach volleyball.
Items we weren’t thrilled with: The waterfront vibe wasn’t there or we what we were expecting. It’s great if you have a boat but we tried our paddle boards and once was all we ended up doing. The dock was covered is goose poop - I get there’s geese there but it was gross.
The water taxi to the beach - wasn’t expecting once over at 8 am and back at 4 pm not at the beach and no where to go to the bathroom.
Pool did not feel heated. It was pretty “fresh”
Other than the booze cruise (literally drive your golf cart in seasonal area for shots if you signed up) and hot dogs/poutine one night for a few, there were no activities unlike what the website said “fun planned events” not even a Bingo game which was disappointing.
Although there was Internet disclosure about paying ahead of time it’s still not great as most campgrounds have it as part of the package. $25/week per device is a lot. Overall we felt it was more like a nice park for seasonal or short term transient...
