Auberge la Marée Douce — Hotel in Rimouski

My review will start by telling you that this little auberge is like staying at your rich grand-mere's house. She'll put you up in one of her old-school, flower-wall-papered rooms, with quality furniture and you'll sleep in a comfy bed, and then she'll feed you a typical grand-maman breakfast with homemade beans and jam. Come on, what's there not to love??? It's so kitsch that you can't help but just go with the flow of it all. Oh, and the whole property is so well maintained. The bed in Room 3 was so hard I was unable to get a decent nights sleep....quite a musty old smell out in the hallway. We booked late and Rimouski appeared to be almost fully booked but yet this morning I received an email from Priceline offering me rooms in Rimouski at greatly discounted prices. Bonjour tous le monde, nous sommes deux Verdunois qui avons décidé pour une deuxième fois venir passer de belles vacances à Rimouski. Il y a deux ans soit en 2022 nous avions décidé de passer quelques jours à l'Auberge Marée Douce située au 1329 Boul. Ste Anne Est (Pointe-au-Père), nous avons été extrêmement bien accueilli par les hôtes (Marguerite et Louisiane Lévesque) dans cette belle Auberge qui a été Érigée vers les années 1860, et qui est toujours en très bonne condition et qui est très propre. AUJOURD'HUI en 2024 nous y sommes revenus avec de très bons nouveaux propriétaires qui sont (Guay Lafontaine). C'est pour cela que MAINTENANT le nouveau nom de cette Auberge est devenu le (Manoir Guay Lafontaine). Sa splendeur et son havre de paix vous amène à rêvasser dans un calme majestueux. Nous avons été encore une fois extrêmement bien accueilli par votre hôte monsieur Mourad qui est d'une gentillesse et pour le service d'un dévouement exceptionnel en tout point vue. Pour la cuisine cela a été exquisement délicieux à un prix des plus raisonnables. Nous sommes heureux moi et ma femme d'y être revenus.
