Location 4 Saisons — Hotel in Rivière-Rouge

We rented a chalet (Navajo) from Location 4 Saisons and have just returned. This was the first time renting from this company. It will also be the last time. The pictures of the Navajo Chalet featured on the website must have been taken when the chalet was newly built. How diasappointing to be expecting something other than what you get when you walk in. The place was run down, the sofas were really icky to sit on. I had to vacuum the dining area as there were full of food crumbs. The windows were dirty, the fireplace was full of ashes and the fireplace doors were clouded with black soot. The dinning table and chairs had definitely seen better days. They were full of nicks and scratches. The floors are in dire need of refinishing. We are a family of nine and when I checked how many towels were available, there were only 4. One in each bathroom. I called Location4saisons and I was told to look in the drier. And "voila", there they were...about 15 large half dried towels and some kids random black t-shirt stuffed into this dryer. Well, I folded them and added them to the bathrooms. I says on the website that the chalet comes with cleaning products and toiletries. There was half a roll of paper tiles and no spray cleaning product to wipe the counters. So I sent on of my kids to buy a package of paper towels and a spray cleaner. We also ran out of toilet paper. Part of the shower doors was missing from 2 of the bathrooms. The kitchen cabinets were old and worn down, and the handles sticky. I had to displace the sofa to look for the baby's toy that fell and trust me, there was dust and dirt that has probably been there since years past. Old dirty towels were found under one of our beds. We have rented chalets from other companies around the St. Faustin area and were always very pleased with the chalets. Also, I had called 4saisons twice to ask if what I was seeing on the website was what we should expect. I was told that they had been furnished 3 years ago. Well, unless they are renting to slobs and frat parties, there is no what this chelet wwas furnished 3 years ago. More like 13! Ran into a man who lives doen the strret and used to do maitenance for this chalets and he told me that they have not been maintained in years. Oh yes, if you think you can hicke on the trails from your chalet, think again. The trails are off limits to people renting from Location4saison. The new owner of the trails does not allow. So we walked downd the street to end of the cul-de-sac where they keep the garbage and recycling bins and back. Loads of fun! Also, the website says 2 queen beds but they were regular double beds. Location4Saison had lost a customer and I would like to make a comment to the owner of this chalet.....you are not doing yourself any favours by renting out a rundown chalet....

Repeating a review that was posted not too long ago by another person that went to the same trip with me to reiterate how extremely terrible this experience was. Not only do they continue to ignore my emails (Kasandra) but they will not offer any assistance or compensation for the horrible experience we had. What a waste of money. Low quality chalets and low quality service.

If i could I would give this cottage 0 stars I would. Absolutely worst customer service I have ever witnessed and experienced. We had arrived for a bachelorette weekend and had 14 people with us. When we arrived there was absolutely no wifi (not connection at all), even though in their ad it says there is wifi. If we wanted we could have went camping outdoors if that was what we were looking for. We had called a minimum of 10 times and not only were we responded to with being rushed off the phone and saying we would recoeve a call back for a follow up. Nothing was ever done. We were the ones to call back after many hours for wifi to be fixed, as well as being greeted to a dirty hottub and hottub jets not working, broken toilet that flooded and did not flush properly (poop flooded everywhere). For one day there was no electricity due to the rain- however our phone calls were made the day before this had all happened and nothing had been done. We had called for candles and flashlights as well since there was no electricity, and the fridge, toilet and water were not working - this was never even given to us even though they said someone would come by. In the end the wifi was never fixed or looked at for the 3 days we were there. We were told many times it would be resolved and someone will be sent over to take a look. It was complete and utter lies as nothing had been done and it wasn't in "their hands." Either in your ad do not post that you offer wifi and working hottub when this is not the case, or offer and fix the things that need to be fixed before posting your false ad. Not only did we make a complaint by email, but also on Facebook and after the comment was posted on Facebook it had been deleted. Never again will I ever pay to stay there. I wouldn't complain if they actually reached out and addressed our concerns and disappointment, but they haven't even done their part in doing so. Also thought I'd mention that via email Kasandra let me know they were "low staff on weekends." Its a chalet..people rent them for weekends..why on earth are you providing lies saying your low staff especially during the summer on ling weekends when you're fully booked? If you insist on lying, at least provide a reasonable one instead of making Location4Saison even more low quality than it already is.
