I have owned a permanent campsite at Lilac Resort for 14 years now. We absolutely love it there. Lilac is Southeastern Manitoba's hidden treasure. It's located on Trans Canada Highway East, near the town of Ste. Anne Manitoba. It is home to more than 300 permanent campsites, rental cabins and provides pull through sites and tent sites with full hookup to hydro, water and sewage. Lilac boasts an awesome water park and Tiki Bar where they have live entertainment every Friday and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The fun makers at lilac always have activities planned for the guests, especially the young children. Lilac also has the main stage where they have live entertainment as well as a huge bonfire. There is a large play structure, concrete basketball court, volleyball nets, horseshoe pits, a large field for baseball, soccer or larger events and a fully stocked Pond for catch-and-release fishing. The park is very well maintained and clean as well as pet friendly. The owner Dan and his staff are very friendly and accommodating to all guests. I highly recommend Lilac Resort. Enjoy the pictures!

Great for everyone. Not our first time out but first time with grandkid. Nightlife is full and a large variety of activities. September long 2024 is no exception. In business you have to try new all the time. Helicopter rides was one “new” this year. Could see having it for 1 day as very noisy every 5 minutes that conversation had to stop at campsite. 2 days was too much. Besides that - we enjoyed full hookup at reasonable cost, clean pool area, some fast food, music etc. Well organized.

Absolutely loved it! The resort pool area is perfect for everyone of all ages, and you feel like you are on a tropical vacation. You can bring your own food and drinks but they have a canteen if not. I would recommend getting there when the doors open to get the best spot to stay for the day. The camp area was well kept with a park, catch and release fishing, and has a small store for things you may have forgotten. Will definitely be back and highly recommend 👌

I would like to start off by saying we had an overall great time. From the day we arrived up until we checked out the staff was very nice and friendly. The waterpark was clean and so much fun for myself and my two daughters. We were staying for two nights June 12th to June 14th in Lodge 1 with no issues. The problem I encountered occurred afterwards with who I think was management, however they never really confirmed.

A few hours after checking out I noticed an email in my spam folder. I was accused of causing damage to the Lodge and that charges will apply for the cost to repair. No phone call and no inquiry at all if something happened during my stay just an accusation. They sent a photo of the damage which was a crack at the top of the cabinet just above the refrigerator (up near the ceiling where I am not sure how an average person could reach up that high). I noticed it when I first walked in but assumed it was normal where and tear of the unit. Luckily for myself I had a photo of my daughter in front of the kitchen with the damage in the background shortly after we checked in. I'm afraid of the battle it would have been if I did not have this photo in my possession. After writing a review of my experience I was then told that the original photo they sent me was taken by their staff after they were touching the area of concern and that they didn't actually take a photo to confirm the "full damage" they were describing to me. It was confusing because if they were already handling the area and potentially caused damage themselves not sure why they contacted me. Its unfortunate it ended this way as I paid good money to be there and had no issues during my stay.

Just wanted to share this in case it happens to anyone else staying in their accomodation. If you are staying in Lodge 1 there is already damage in the unit above the refrigerator (near the ceiling) and make sure to document everything upon arrival. Maybe I am naive but have never been accused of damaging property so will be more mindful in the future. Definitely a learning experience. I would recommend the staff do more thorough walk-throughs with their guests upon check-in/check-out if they are going to charge their guests damage fees. It may have turned out to be an insignificant $20 to them (again not sure how they came up with that figure) but it was definitely made out to be a bigger deal until I was able to...

Absolutely Disgraceful Experience – Racially Profiled in Front of My Family

I stayed at Lilac Resort with my wife and children just two days ago. The next morning, the owner approached me and said the RCMP had instructed him to record number plates of people staying long-term and “doing paving.” I found this odd but said no problem.

Later that evening, while having a BBQ with my kids, I was approached by an RCMP officer who said I had been reported as a paving scammer. I was shocked. He asked for ID and questioned me — all based on a false report from the resort. I confronted the owner, and he tried to brush it off, but the RCMP made it clear it was him who called.

This happened purely because I’m Irish — a disgusting and offensive stereotype. I was treated like a criminal in front of my own children, for no reason other than my ethnicity.

This kind of racial profiling is not only morally wrong — it’s also legally unacceptable. No one should be targeted because of where they come from.

On top of that, I’ve seen others complain about the number of surveillance cameras around the hot tubs — which I also found strange and inappropriate for a family setting.

I do not recommend staying here. If you care about respect and basic decency, stay away.

Reply: Your response is misleading and disingenuous. The RCMP did not show up on their own initiative — they were contacted by you, and any implication otherwise is simply false. To suggest that someone doing paving work is automatically involved in a scam, particularly when no wrongdoing occurred, is both irresponsible and prejudiced.

Furthermore, bringing up a general news article about paving scams has no relevance to what actually happened at your park. We’re not discussing any other locations or situations — this is about your actions and your treatment of people at your business.

Implying that someone’s background or nationality (in this case, Irish) somehow justifies suspicion is not only unfair — it’s discriminatory. I am not here to discuss any unrelated reviews or claims. I am addressing your behavior and the incident that occurred at Lilac, which you are now trying to distort publicly.

This kind of conduct — misrepresenting facts, making personal insinuations, and deflecting from your own actions — is unprofessional and needs to...

Lilac is the perfect resort to accommodate both young and old. It is a blast for the kids and a big party for the adults. Located just 20 minutes outside the city you will think you're in Jamaica. The facility is fantastic, it's clean, 24 hour monitored security with CCTV throughout the park, security patrol, and the staff are extremely helpful.

The owners are likely the best owners of any private business I have ever known. Dan and Tammy are extremely accommodating, fair, and they put so much of your money back into the Resort with plenty of live entertainment, bands, kids parties, plenty of daily games and activities for kids carried out by the many "funmakers", Christmas in July, Halloween in August, fantastic fireworks on most long weekends, annual Labour Day Classic football massive party and bbq cook off, DJ Brenton every Sunday, tiki bar with constant live sports like NHL playoffs (usually starting in the 3rd round) built in deck hot tubs, great food, plus much much more.

Extra bonuses for seasonal guests like end of season pig roast and staff appreciation parties.

They work very hard to make sure you have an enjoyable experience and honestly it's quite impossible not to have a great time.

It's the best all around family entertainment bang for your buck you can ask for.

Spend a weekend and you won't want to leave! That's what happened with my family.

Thanks Dan and Tammy and your kids for all your hard work. It's never under appreciated.

We have been seasonal guests for 6 great years and looking forward to seeing our Lilac family for another fun filled relaxing summer once...
