I arrived at chalet la Lalaise in Beaupré (Québec) Canada around 7pm after driving four hours non-stop with three children under ten years old.||||We are placed in condo 401 Du Plateau street, unit 204. Parking numbers in front of car should be labelled Timeshare! Locals complain we don't park in the right spot!||||Upon entry an immediate smell of defecation and old cigarette took us by surprise: all children said’ It smells disgusting here! I don't want to be here!’||||The place is also tiny: the lounge is 2x 4 metres, the triangle shaped kitchen is 1m x 3 and the room small… and the most smelly! Seat||||In this place the carpets must be ripped and the whole place deep cleaned.||||There are still hair on the toilet seat, on the wall near the shower and on the floor under the bathroom sink.||||OMG please move us elsewhere in this vicinity! I beg you i can't fall asleep, i just want to vomit!||||It is 10 pm now in Canada, its also stinking hot here and my children dont even have free access to the aquapark with a pool! They asked me to pay $80 per week per person for access.||||I called reception immediately upon arrival describing the smell of squallor, sh*t and uncleanliness. The person, after i called a second time 20 mins later, told me she spoke to her manager. Manager said they only hand in the keys and are not responsible for RCI bookings! I was very upset, tired, with hungry children!||||Surely, you can provide 100 club owners with 160k points/year BETTER MAINTAINED CONDOS!||||This is totally unacceptable and i am deeply concerned about the profesionnalism of RCI.||||The business deals you have is not my concern. Receptionist kept telling me she could not do anything for me, that she doesnt manage RCI’s owners and clients. That if i want to move she can move me at 400 ish per week for me to pay. I beg your pardon?||||It's like arriving at your parents home - which you bought for them and they live in - and they dont even offer you a cuppa tea!||||There is not even soap here, and tiny little bottles of one portion of shampoo and conditioner. ||||Reception gave me rci canada’s number but of course it is Sunday night and they are closed. [I called on Monday 27 June at 11.30am and Alain at Rci Canada said he cannot manage my case. He gave me the Rci feedback email)||||I wanted to transfer to a decent 1-2 bedroom unit AT NO COST NOW for the remainder of our stay but Four Season staff refused Free access to pool was not possible ($40/pp) as per RCI advertisement,...
Read moreImmediately upon entering our chalet (Le Cormier) we were sad we hadn’t booked more nights at this cozy gem! We arrived late, about 10pm, and the chalet was lit, warm, and playing music. Delightful! The chalet is fully equipped and decorated perfectly for a quiet and restful retreat. I loved the novelty of the king bed in the loft area, though I wouldn’t recommend it if you have trouble climbing ladders! The little kitchen was great, the bathroom was large with nice towels. And of course, the private hot tub was divine. Especially after a day of hiking! I would absolutely recommend staying here, and I look forward to when I can return.
Note that this is a whole complex of Chalets, and they are all different! So you can choose the one that suits...
