Manoir St-André — Hotel in Saint-André-de-Kamouraska

The woman running the manoir was very unfriendly from the start. We stayed in a cottage which was across from a tractor sales depot, no view of the St. Lawrence which is what the obviously outdated photos had shown. The decor was old and worn, beds uncomfortable, cottage was cold since the heat had not been turned on prior to our arrival which had been booked well in advance. The internet was sporadic at best, there was one little bar of handsoap, one partial roll of toilet paper which we ran out of. We paid $82 for one night but there was a sign on the lawn that advertised rooms starting at $50. Definitely do not stay here no matter the price. Notre Dame du Portage, a few km away, has a much nicer place...

An unimpressive facility with terrible food.||||There are two lodging areas: rooms upstairs in the old house, and small 'motel' chalets. I stayed upstairs in the old house - I should have stayed outside in the newer motel buildings, because the walls are paper-thin upstairs and you can hear every sound from the surrounding rooms.||||The proprietor is not very hospitable. There is a "restaurant" on the main floor of the building - avoid it, the food is very uninspiring and the ingredients come from Costco. The food servers are not at all well trained.||||Breakfast the following morning was very small, very stingy, and also unimpressive.||||I would not return, and do not recommend this...

Nous sommes deux amies qui partions en roadtrip dans la région. Nous avons décidé ce projet sur le tard, donc il ne restait rien d'autre, nous avons pris le risque malgré les commentaire... ERREUR. ||||Quand on entre, c'est à l'envers, tout croche. OK il y avait des rénovations du plancher en cours devant le foyer dans le hall... mais ca ne justifie pas que le reste du manoir soit dans cet état. Ca sentait mauvais. On avait réserver une chambre dans le manoir : malgré les fenetres ouvertes ca sentait le renfermer. Il n'y avait pas de rideau dans les fenêtres. Il y avait de nombreuses mouches noires partout : dans la chambre, dans l'entre-fenetre, même une mouche écrasée dans le bain. Ca donne une idée que la salle de bain n'a pas été lavée. On a même tenté de réserver ailleurs et de se rendre a Rivière du Loup mais il n'y avait plus rien nul part. ||||Nous sommes retournées a la réception et avons mentionnés ces éléments. Il restait de la place dans une cabine extérieur, nous l'avons prise après l'avoir visité. Au moins ne sent pas le refermé et c'était plus propre, mais c'est la grosse grosse base. Quand j'ai voulu allumé les lumières au dessu des lits, ca ne marchait pas... pour me rendre compte qu'il n'y a plus de fiche, le fil était divisé en deux pour brancher ainsi dans la prise de courant! Super dangereux!||||Bref, très TRÈS cher pour le peu que nous avons. Si c'est votre seule option, prenez une cabine, au moins il fait moins chaud, il y a un frigo, du chauffage et des rideaux yahoo!||||Sincèrement je ne peux pas croire que des gens profites ainsi des touristes. J'avais réservé sur AirBnB et les commentaires n'étaient pas aussi éloquent d'ici... c'est vraiment du vol. Je paierais 40-50$ pour une nuit en cabine. Nous avons payé environs...
