Our booking was a 3 night stay with one kitchen junior suite 3rd floor and 2 other suites on the 2nd floor below. |When arriving we were junior suite 3 rd floor, one room 2nd floor and 3rd room ground floor! Not impressed and it was such a long procedure to get the rooms closer together, but one room was cheaper then they had charged my card, there was no refund granted! We have been going to these condos for over 5 years and just in August we spent 5000$ for condos on a guys weekend away! ||We were disappointed but it wasnât going to ruin our weekend. ||Well when it came time to cook our supper, I was horrified with the condition of the kitchen supplies. The pots and pans were disgusting đ€ź all scratched, rusted and dirty. The dish clothes were all stained dirty and full of holes! The dish soap bottle was a used water bottle with a hole in the lid, there were no clothes to wash the dishes or wipe the table. The stairs in our condo were full of sand and we never went to the beach! I was totally blown away by the conditions of the condo that I brought it to the attention of the administration of the condos and his response was a shock! He said the pots are fine, just a little scratched and rusty. T-Fal was missing, there was no way I would cook on those! And even when I was making my complaint he continued to argue that they were fine! His last response was( ITâS NOTED). WTF!!!! Not to mention they charged a credit card they did not have authorization . Then try to get a refund to use the right card NOPE we canât do that đ€Šđ»ââïž I will be looking to spend my money elsewhere...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed here from Sunday to Tuesday. We were upgraded to a condo from a studio because they were understaffed and breakfast wouldn't be available. The upgrade was beautiful, spacious but there were many things in the unit that didn't work: the microwave didn't heat anything up, the light under the stove was busted, the facet in the shower was so loose that I had to try to screw it back in to adjust the temperature (while soaking wet lol), the button for the spa bath didn't work, and the chain to lock our door was screwed in an inch too far to the left and we couldn't even chain the door at night. If it wasn't for the fact that the upgrade was on the hotel, I think it would make sense to be upset. When you pay for quality, you expect quality. I also found that the quality and quantity of the products and toilet paper provided to us were surprisingly bare (enough for one person for one night) considering lower end hotels provide you with more and better quality toiletries. The wifi is very spotty. My partner needed to conduct his work from the bedroom in order to have enough of a signal.
On the positive side: the bed was extremely comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked to be able to cook and prepare dishes, and the space was very clean. The view is breathtaking. There weren't many guests so I can not comment on noise levels but we would consider coming back and trying a different style of room.
In all there is a mix of high end elements, mixed with some low end features and some much needed TLC and upkeep. We hope the next visit...
Read moreThe good:|The view of the lake is beautiful. The rooms are very nice. The Cerf Rouge is an excellent restaurant. ||The bad:|- Beach. (I went there to essentially lie on the beach, so I am biased towards this aspect!) The beach is not large, and there are only a handful of chairs. Be sure to be there EARLY to get a chair. Asocials at the hotel will "reserve" - put their towel on the night before - about half of them. There is no system in place whatsoever. When I asked the employees, they simply responded that the chairs are for clients. We are clients too ... I would also aadvise NOT to go on the weekend if you want to enjoy the beach. It will fill up twice as fast as usual. On Saturday, half of it was taken over by a group of drunk guests who were blasting music and making a nuisance of themselves. Their children had been calling 911 and the police eventually showed up. No arrests - unfortunately. ||- Safety. Please make sure your kayak will FLOAT before taking it out. Ours had a leak and we had to stop at an island half way to empty the water. We told the attendant - he simply shrugged, mumbled something about having a look at it later, and left the kayak for others to almost drown in. Very little regard for safety...||- Infrastructure. The electricity went out for 3 days in the hallway. The escalator worked 2 or 3 times for us - it was out of order the rest of the time. We had to drag our luggage down 3 flights of stairs... The hotel did not give any updates as to what was going on, nor how long it was...
