Disappointing is the word that sums up my experience. Booking was done over the phone; I requested a room that contained a Jacuzzi tub, and I was advised of the fee for that. Unbeknownst to me, I was not made aware of additional and pertinent information that impacted not only my experience but also costs. Full disclosure, there was a weather warning for the night of our stay, so it was exceptionally cold. However, you'll see in the pics that there is an AC unit in the room (placed above the heater), which let in a consistent stream of cold air, as well as the door which wasn't fully sealed all around. When we initially arrived, the room was cold, and we thought we'll turn up the heat and warm up, but the room never warmed up - the aforementioned conditions made it impossible! Turns out that all rooms that contain Jacuzzi tubs also contained fireplaces. So when we realized that the room was not heating up we asked about using it and was advised that the logs have an additional cost and that because of the type of log they use, it doesn't actually produce much heat, and contributed more to the atmosphere. That information would have been pertinent to be aware of at the time of booking. We kept our layers of clothes on the entire evening because it was simply unbearable and uncomfortable. When we went to get our meals (in-room, due to covid), we explained our discomfort, and they offered us a heater. The gesture was nice, however given the aforementioned conditions, the heater was not sufficient to make our stay comfortable. We were also offered to leave and forgo payment, however that didn't seem like a feasible option late at night during a cold frost. Shortly after our meal, we thought we could warm up in the Jacuzzi tub that we paid extra for. We turn on the tap and hot water comes out, so we're thinking once it's filled, we'll get in and warm up. Before the tub even filled up completely, we noted that the water was ice cold. Extremely disappointing, on every level. We cuddled up and tried to keep as warm as possible, but it was beyond uncomfortable. We got up early, opted to not have the breakfast (which was included), and simply leave. When we went to the reception desk to check out, and explained our grievances, the gentleman behind the counter commented that my tastes were probably more expensive than his, and claimed that he didn't want to start his day hearing complaints - but, what about providing adequate customer service? He tried to wave us off but we insisted on being given the opportunity to share our experience. With regards to the Jacuzzi tub and the cold water, he pointed to a sign that indicated there should be no noise nor hot tubs run after 10pm; we tried to get in the tub after dinner so it wasn't that late, and more likely, the fact that it was so cold meant everybody was using the tubs at the same time and the flow of hot water could not be distributed adequately. In the end, he claimed that he did all that he could to make our stay comfortable, which I wholeheartedly disagree with. I would also suggest that persons who take bookings over the phone have a full script of all relevant information to provide to would-be guests - or, better yet, update the website with the capability to book stays, and provide all relevant information. Further, I would suggest looking into the AC units and seals on the doors, as well as the placement of the heaters to ensure the comfort of your guests during their stay.

Quaint rustic hotel. Rooms are cozy and clean but I found the bed and pillows a bit uncomfortable…but I am difficult in that way. Great location for a walk by a beautiful river. I’m here in the winter, but I’m sure it is also lovely in the summer. There is a small pool and several picnic tables. Pretty lovely for spending time outdoors and we really enjoyed our dinner at their restaurant “Entrecôte”. The breakfast was also very nice….Fresh fruit, break and real bagels, hard boiled eggs, and little pots of jam, cream cheese, creton, butter and all you can drink coffee! We also enjoyed a very good professional massage with our Tuango package. Note: pricing on packages. It is $40 more to go on Saturday 15% gratuity is added on the total bill Taxes then added on the total bill including the added gratuities.

Great place for a nice little romantic getaway. We have been returning here for many years a few times a year. Each time we Visit we are always treated to a very high standard of hospitality. The food is always presented extremely well we always have our favorite which is the veal Parmesan Alfredo. Having Visited the Alps in France Alpine inn really gives that feeling Of being in Europe. For Breakfast their homemade pastries are nothing less then decadent and you will fill up and skip lunch! Thank you so much Joseph we look forward to seeing you again soon!

We and some friends of ours bought a Groupon which included 1 night stay, gourmet 4 course dinner, breakfast and massage. The fine print clearly indicated that there was a 20$ surcharge for staying on a Saturday and 15% service fee that would be charged on check out, which was fine by us. We took one cabin with two bedrooms for both couples. The cabins are extremely sparsely furnished (the TV was smaller than my computer monitor, there were no towels, no coffee pot, no wine glasses or mugs, but two toasters??), but the room looked and smelled clean. The bedding had holes in it but smelled & looked clean also. On arrival at the restaurant at about 7:45 pm, the hostess/waitress asked us if we had the "VIP" menu. I said I don't know, we bought a package on Groupon... at which point she interrupted me to say yes, you have the VIP menu. She seats us and tells us we have a soup, a salad, a choice of shrimp or escargots, and a choice of main which included filet mignon, lamb, chicken or fish. 3 of us chose the escargots, 1 shrimp, and all 4 chose the filet mignon. The soup was the only good part of the meal. The salad was awful, a small pile of leaves with balsamic and 2 strawberries on it, but with big hunks of raw green pepper, 3 slices of cucumber, and radish on the side. I ordered escargots à l'ail but got au gratin instead. There was so much cheese I had to dig through it to find the escargots and they didn't taste like much. At this point I was tired and my husband walked me back to our cabin, so I can't comment on the main, but the others told me the filet mignon was good and the sides were negligible (more raw green pepper). The next morning we were all up and ready to have breakfast at 7 but the restaurant only opens at 8 so we went into town and had a really excellent breakfast. Then our friends had their couples massage at 9 am and we were supposed to have ours at 11 am. Instead, as I walked in to the reception area, the owner starts screaming at my husband and pointing his finger in our faces saying that we are a-holes and disturbed his guests the night before (my friend's wife made a comment as she left the restaurant that was directed at two men in the dining room who were poorly dressed and wearing baseball caps, it was hardly a ruckus, but the two made a huge stink about it the next day right before we walked, in as far as I can tell). The owner then starts threatening to punch my husband in the face and keeps screaming at him that he's an a-hole... It was so shocking I literally thought "this poor man must not have taken his medication this morning". Then he said he wanted us to leave and never come back (no problem!), so my husband and I walked out to go gather our friends and our things and then I went back to pay the bill. I told him he had better take my massage off the bill and he says no, you will pay for it and you can go to the massage which is starting now (as if I want to be naked anywhere in your vicinity after you threatened us). Then he starts asking me who is going to pay for the escargots and filet mignon. I tell him it was part of our Groupon, to which he replies no it wasn't, and that we told the waitress we had the VIP menu... How could I even know you had such a thing as a VIP menu? She told us that's what we had, not the other way around... after much unpleasantness where he threatened to take me to small claims court if I didn't pay for "all the extras", he decided he would only charge me the difference for the steaks (32$ ) and the bottle of wine (38$). All in all, I paid 250$ for the Groupon and 190$ at the end of my stay. Once it was paid he changed his tune and gave me my plate of filet mignon which they had kept for me the night before, and kept insisting that I go for the massage because it would "make me feel better". I got the hell out of there before he could have another mood swing. This was a very expensive terrible experience, and I guarantee you the owner will be replying to this review in an unpleasant and/or threatening way, which will only...

I just spent a weekend at the Alpine with my girlfriend. I would like to keep this review very honest and respectful and please note this review is based on my personal thoughts.

Here are the pros and cons.

1st it's important to indicate, we did take a package from vieurbaine.com which you will be able to shortly find my review on their site as well.

I would like to start out with the pluses as this place did have some very good qualities that are definitely worth mentioning.

1st. I want to mention that even though this Inn is right next to Quebec Provincial road 370 we did not find the sound of traffic that overbearing.

I loved the decor. Every cabin is made of log & wood finish, which gave it a real country like atmosphere and fit right in with the area. I liked the look of the reception area as well as it was also all made of wood and log. Beautiful.

The Golf Course which is just up the road roughly 150 metres is great. I have played it a couple of times and definitely plan on going back.

The restaurant which they call entrecôte. (French for Grill or steak house) has some great food. Really nothing to complain about the quality of it. Even if you are not staying at the Inn, I would recommend eating here. If it were just for the restaurant or golf course alone I would have rated this place a solid 4. I'll explain why I rated it a 3 a little later. There is a promotion I found the other day for $80 for 4 table d'hote dinners. I forget if it was off Tuango but definitely one of the promotional sites. At $20 per person for a table d'hote here, you couldn't possibly ask for a better deal. Great value for the offer.

The room we personally had, had a Jacuzzi. Which we requested. We were in 315 on the 2 level 8 room building on the other side of the outdoor lounge area. There was also a fireplace in the room which we did not use as it was too warm already. Great for other times of the year though.

Now for the cons. There aren't that many. My pro review is longer for sure. But here are a few details I definitely think are worth mentioning.

Pool was not heated, even though it was clearly as heated on their website. My girlfriend didn't end up swimming because of this. She just put her legs in.

The room itself, had a Jacuzzi and fireplace which was great but no mini fridge. Not so great.

Another complaint is the pricing structure of what is advertised on vieurbaine.com and the final price you will end up paying. I feel it was almost just like a bait to get people to take it. The price I paid for on vieurbaine was $155 which included, Our room, a table d'hôte dinner for 2 and 2 breakfasts. In theory that was a great deal which enticed me to jump on it. I was also very happy to pay the $65 extra which includes the fact we went on a Saturday evening and to have a Jacuzzi in the room. The taxes I didn't quite understand how they were calculated and neither for the tipping but I agreed to it so this is not really my complaint even though we were already at an extra $140 at this point on top of the initial price listed on vieurbaine. One complaint I found was not ok was at dinner, we chose 2 cocktails and a side of garlic bread at an extra. They just add the tip on for us instead of letting us choose what we tip at our discretion. They added tip on tax which I did not find ok. It is customary here in Quebec or anywhere else in Canada for that matter to leave tipping at the clients discretion. So in the end I was billed $170 extra on top of the $155 I originally paid on vieurbaine. Which is more than double and left something to be desired. Unfortunate but I would probably hesitate in booking an accommodation package next time because of these types of tactics.

Also, the breakfast was ok, but left something to be desired. At the price we paid. Bacon and scrambled eggs at a minimum would have been appreciated. Not hard boiled eggs and cereal and croissants 🥐 from a Costco Jumbo box. I just felt the value for money for what we paid in the end was a bit absent. I'm...
