We were at PANP in mid-July. Part of our family camped at Beaver Glen Campground. The area their campsite was in (section P) was well maintained. The location of their campsite was perfect -- very close to the water tap, camp kitchen, washrooms and the wood. Wood was in a covered shelter. As soon as the pile was getting low, the supply was replenished. Some of the wood was even split. Garbage was collected daily. Washrooms were clean, had flush toilets, showers, plug ins and mirrors. The camp site was a large level area (gravel) for the camper and screen tent. The fire pit/grill was far enough away from the camper to avoid the smoke from the campfire. There was enough room to park two vehicles.|| ||It rained every day – mostly just light showers. The camp kitchen came in very handy when there was a torrential downpour. We sought shelter in the building and cooked our meal there. We did have a couple of issues. We could not get the lights to work, plus the shelter was surrounded by water after the downpour. At least we got to cook our meal and didn’t get soaked. The ground absorbed most of the water by the next morning. ||||The campground is a maze of narrow paved roads that are good for walks and bike riding. Beaver Glen is close to Waskesiu townsite, making it handy for shopping, dining and...
Read moreCampsites are big enough but there are not much tress around which makes it hard to put trap above the tent to secure it in case of rain. We ended up putting trap on the tent itself. The kitchen shelter does not have lights so you need to carry your own lamp to kitchen shelter if you are cooking\eating late evening. There is not facility to clean dirty dishes, there are taps which can be used for drinking water and also to clean dishes and collect the dirty water in a tub\bucket to throw it in toilets. On the positive side, the site has good and clean washrooms which includes showers as well and very...
Read more1 star for the B lot. It is terrible, should not be charged the same as others, the washrooms, water, showers, garbage, and wood are so far away that you literally have to leave the B lot and go through the A lot to get to it, it's actually worth just driving to it. The Q lot is better, but still quite a bit of a walk depending on where your site is on the lot, hence the 2 stars. Wood is not split nor is it covered from the rain ( they dump the wood OUTSIDE of the covered area) and then they charge almost $9/day just to...
