The Good The Bestest
The Good:
-Check in yourself, what a breath of fresh air, not having to deal with anyone post pandemic!
-Parking? Abundant
-The Vacation house says it sleeps 11, but easily fit in a couple skinnies in there as well
-You get the whole massive place to yourself, if it wasn't online you'd think Ozzy Osbourne saw country in one of his acid trips.
-Shore line fishing CAN NOT be beat, hello? Channel Catfish? Mixed me up!
-TV WITH a box? WOoooo
-NEW BBQ, heck yes! We tried cleaning as we always do :) Following all our trips; it was clean when we got there? You can lick off the floors after we leave; do it I dare you.
The BESTEST
-Self check in, what can I say? Unattended, meant we had the whole place to ourselves. We could talk about the on-going feud between Mr. Kendrick and Mr. Drake and not have a single soul inject their political bias!
-Kitchen HAD EVERYTHING, MORE THAN MY OWN HOUSE. It gave me an opportunity to want things back in my house! Ikea here we come!
-Cutlery for DAYS, and all of them sharp and pointed, just like the beautiful Canadian flag
-Home safety? More like Home Security! Ain’t no criminal inside this resort without feeling euphoria; instead they may even leave an item for the next patron!
-Chairs everywhere, Mr. Clean himself had a seat beside me! #Honored
-The bugs? No way Jose, none! You may notice the otters there, don't talk to them. They still owe me money for our last poker sesh.
-Wifi? I downloaded the 1989 Hit Classic Kickboxer with Jean-Claude Van Damme in 4K. Seeing those seksy pecs in 4k? Excuse myself;
Everything I could possibly expect; short of a Funko Pop massaging my foot, it had everything!
All jokes aside, I love this place. Don’t...

Cons Self Checkin is a joke. They gave us the wrong code to the lock box. We spent 1 hour on call with the assistance to figure out what to do since the manager on-site was off for the long weekend, leaving the property unmanaged and unattended. Kitchen includes an age old vintage manual timer oven and coil stove Incomplete cutlery. One of the glass was cracked when we arrived. We had to run to the nearest store to pick up essentials Couch is dirty and stinky. Home Safety is a joke. We were welcomed with a cottage with broken windows in one of the rooms. Next day we came back home to find a rat in the accommodation. We understand wilderness but then unhygienic living conditions are not acceptable Outside sitting had not been cleaned for months and had mosquitos and insects dead on the chairs and table No Air Conditioning within the cottage Wifi was not functional. It connected to the login but always showed as Internet not available No essentials available on property. We had to rush to the nearest store to purchase...
Read moreThe first person we met was Joe. He asked what we thought of the place. Then he told us this was the worst dump he ever stayed at. So, we asked him if it was his first time here? He said, “No, I have been coming for fifty years.” Turns out he got married in the common area a few years back. This anecdote set a lighthearted tone for our stay. The hill to the river is steep, but well worth the hike, it’s breathtaking down there. We had doors without windows and windows without screens. You can, however, see this place was happening in the last era, it needs some TLC, it is fun to speculate on how cool it must have been in days gone by. A chipmunk in the kitchen got lucky with some peanut and Chex mix. The five-year-old had ice cream for breakfast on her last day. Prospective guests seeking luxury accommodations or high-end amenities may wish to consider alternative options. However, those searching for a budget-friendly, clean destination with minimal crowds will find this location suitable. The beds provide adequate comfort, and complimentary bath products are available. Although officially designated as having one bathroom, an additional restroom with external access is...
