Never again will my family camp at Farran Campsite. We have went there for the past 10 years and the disrespect we were treated with was disgusting. We went with our family, my friend and her daughter and another friend. It started yesterday, my children were fishing with a few other children on the small docks at the edge of the park near our site. 2 female park workers came and We were told to get off the dock and fish elsewhere as it was for Seasonal campers only. The only ones fishing were the kids. We tried explaining that this was the only place in the park safe enough for the children to fish and catch something as my husband and I tried several areas and nothing was biting. We were still told to move. My husband started having a panic attack at the thought of the children climbing the rocks to go fishing and were threatened to be Evicted from the park. I explained he was not angry but having an attack and they were rude and I asked for a manager. The manager came and I calmly explained what was happening when finally they said the kids could fish but to move if seasonal people needed to use it and we agreed. The rest of the day was uneventful. During the night the storm woke us (after 2 hours of sleep) just in time to get the kids out of the tent before it collapsed on my husband and friend. I ran and hid with the kids in the bathroom while my husband and friends grabbed what they could and loaded the car. I had to work 1st thing this morning at 9 so my husband took me and our three kids home. Our friends stayed behind as we could only fit 5 in the car and there was 8 of us. My husband had to make 4 trips through the night in the storm to get everyone and everything home safely. He finally got home after almost hitting a deer and driving 30km/ph in blinding rain to do it. He then took me to work. He needed sleep. He picked me up at work at 2pm. My phone was flooded with calls from Farrens because my husband did not take the collapsed tent home/to the garbage. I told them I had just gotten off work and explained our night to them. I asked if they could just throw it out. The told me if I didn't come get it I would be fined for leaving garbage. So we again got in our car and drove there. After taking down our tent they proceeded to hand us an eviction notice from St Lawrence park for 1 year for coming past checkout. I am...

Rented the Aspen cabin for 1 night. Family of four; 2 adults and 2 kids (3yrs & 8months).
Green grass with geese feces scattered throughout. Canadian geese everywhere: non violent.
Playground for kids( see images ), base of playgroundis tiny smooth rocks.
Beach has ideal sand for building castles additionally the water 50 yards out is only 3 feet deep. I felt secure knowing my 3yrs old could be in the water without me being right there holding her hand or watching her every movement.
Aspen Cabin had the following: 1 main door. Electricity Two ceiling fans, 1 main room 1 bedroom. Power outlets everywhere. Kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, cabinets Sitting eating area. Bedroom. 1 queen, bunkbeds: single each. Main room had pullout couch to bed.
What the cabin did not have: Sink in kitchen or else where. Running water inside cabin. (Outside tap at back of cabin). No washroom or toilets. (Washrooms are about 100 meters north or 125 meters east near the playground/beach. Washroom north of cabins have showers and babychanging station in both male/female bathrooms.)
No Screendoor for bugs.
Amazing view of the river. Quiet at night. Firepits at every campsite. (Aspen's firepit was on the side of the cabin where others were in front.)
There are alot of Flies, so make sure to pick up some fly traps at dollarstore or retails stores.
Bring your own fire logs/wood as there is a no use internal firewood policy.
Great service and excellent site location. I would bring my family...
Read moreWe visited the last week of September for 9 nights. We required a campsite with full hookups and this appears to be the only one in the St. Lawrence Parks System but when we got there we found not only the full hookups but they also have Wi Fi which was not mentioned on there website and was a big bonus in our books.||The campsites are large but very open with few trees. The park basically is an island in the St.Lawrence connected to the shore by a causeway which means you are are off the road but also the park is very wind swept. Many of the campsites have views over the river.||There is a nice little beach but the weather was to cool to go in the water so I do not know how the swimming is. There does not appear to be strong currents around the island which could be a problem in a river.||There is a very nice paved bike path which passes the entrance to the park and takes you through wetlands areas with lots of birds. The trail eventually leaves to the Migratory Birds Park and possibly to Upper Canada Village. It also runs the opposite direction but in that direction I believe you have to ride on the road in places.||The town of Ingleside is 1 minute away once you get out to the main road which has most necessary services.||It is not a northern provincial park but overall I would pick a park like this over a KOA if you need a full...
