We've stayed at Huttopia 5 or 6 times over the years.

If you plan to bring your own tent to camp- DON'T. This isn't the place for that, the tent sites are horribly located (very far from anything) They have 2 or 3 okay tent sites but now they charge for you to pick your site (which is absolutely stupid as any other campground makes that part of the reservation process)

We've stayed in the deluxe tents with bathroom/kitchen and beds and if you can book off season, it is probably the best quality/price here.

Our second chalet stay (February 2022) was not great. The main road was completely icy and they said they couldn't put salt or dirt because it was snowing?! So half the cars could not get up and we needed to walk to and from our car (it's a steep hill!) Luckily we got a ride for our stuff and the kids walked. Our chalet had a serious ant problem. I complained multiple times but because they fully book there was no way to switch. I'm talking huge black ants throughout the chalet (#15). Someone came and sprayed after I called twice. There should not be ants in a chalet in the winter. It's 100% from cleanliness of food being left out, and there were bug traps in the kitchen area full of ants even though they tried to explain that the ants come in on the firewood (impossible, it was minus 20) I was offered a free bundle of wood ($10 value) even when brought up to management. This is a 2 star accommodation (I'm guessing because it's rustic camping) but they charge 4 star city prices. They really need to up their game because the location itself can't carry the costs. Cheap furniture and kitchen items, linens and towels. It's almost insulting. Overall, it's a nice place. Sutton is great, there is a lot to explore, and in the summer it's nice to grab a coffee, have a swim, let the kids play on the wood playground area and obstacle course and enjoy the nearby creeks. But, they truly need to work on the...

We recently came back from 2 nights at Huttopia. We stayed in the Canadienne tent #7 (Electricity but no water). It was a wonderful experience The staff were friendly and accommodating. Kudos to Kim for her excellent customer service and the gentleman who helped me with my cart ( he just came back from being off with a fractured ankle, merci) I have camped in many places but this was the first place that had everything right down to the sheets, towels and propane. You really only need to bring your food. The campsites are large and clean. Great for people who want to try camping. There was something for everyone. A river to play in, homade obstacle courses for big or small, pool, trails, games and books at your disposal. Huttopia is doing its best to be eco-friendly. I would not recommend Huttopia for people with mobility issues. Vehicles must be parked in parking lots near your site. There are wagons there to cart your stock in.The paths are forested so you must manoeuver around roots and rocks. We were located near the top, there were only 2 toilets for alot of people. It was a bit of a trek to the washroom ( hoping it was free) and for water. I would recommend they at least add another water source deeper in to help the campers. The lower campsites have 2 bathroom building and 2 wash sinks next to each other which made no sense to me since it seemed everyone camped closer to the top. All in all it was a great first experience at Huttopia, I would...

Stayed two nights in a cabin, loved every second of it. The central lodge is located at the top of what feels like an old logging road that goes straight up the hillside, and all along that road are small parking areas with little paths leading outward to the cabins. They're tucked away in the woods (I think ours was the furthest away from the road, maybe 100 metres?) and spaced from one another at just the right distance for privacy. Ours sat along a stream, which was gorgeous. As people who usually tent camp, the cabin was way beyond glamping for us. Lots of space to spread out with all of our stuff, everything in the kitchen we needed, hot shower, comfy beds and pillows, and that dreamy wood stove. The lodge is huge, beautiful, dog-friendly, filled with happy guests interacting with one another, and the food is yummy—but what really makes the place amazing is the staff. Everyone we encountered was kind, helpful, made us feel at home (and didn't mind our appalling lack of French). Being right at Sutton was key for this mountain-biking family. Biking right out the door? Riding to the ski hill base area for beer and music at the end of the ride? Yup! Perfection. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful experience at Huttopia and look forward to visiting again as we frequent the area for biking trips. Huttopia is an excellent option for folks looking to get away and embrace the outdoors without having to pack all of our overnight camping gear. Huttopia provided perfect accommodations for our quick overnight biking trip to Mount Sutton and Bromont (25 minutes north). The campground is connected to the Sutton cross-country trails, which added convenient access to their network. As avid backcountry campers, the convenience of their offerings was nice in contrast to our usual routine for this simple, biking-focused overnight trip. We will recommend this location to friends and hope to be back again soon!

Our stay at Huttopia Sutton was absolutely wonderful, the place is truly sublime and breathtaking! In terms of cleanliness, everything was spotless; the shared washrooms were impressively clean. The Bonaventure tent is fully equipped, you just need to bring your own food and whatever else you may need. The only small drawback was the lack of BBQ tools, for example a pair of tongs and other basic utensils, and the fact that our firewood was damp and difficult to light. And trash management wasn’t very clear since there are no containers. Other than that, everything was perfect! Next time, we’ll be trying the one in the Laurentians!
