The Retreat House is a unique, magical place. I have had the honour of being there approximately twice a year since June of 2017 and I always look forward to my time at The Retreat House. I like to categorize the wonder of this place in a few ways: First, THE PEOPLE. Deb, Jen and everyone they have that comes in to support the groups that arrive - Kim, Maria, Erin, Angela, etc. - are all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. THE SPACE. A true home away from home, the rooms are comfortable, incredibly clean and cozy. There are lots of places to curl up with a good book, take a nap or sit and chat with others. THE FOOD. The vegan, gluten free meal creations are out of this world! Go for the food, stay for the space and come back time and time again for the growing connections with the people. Highly recommend, this place is a 10 out of 10.

Had an amazing time here! My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary here a couple of weekends ago and we had a wonderful time. We stayed out in a separate cabin from the main house. We had our own wood burning fire place, bathroom and the whole big space to ourselves! Deb and Jen kept wood on the fire to keep the cabin nice and toasty. The main house was beautiful too. We checked out the rooms inside before the other guests arrived and we definitely would have been happy in any of them. The whole place was renovated by the owner Deb, and wow, what an amazing skillset she has! We stayed for two nights and the breakfasts were DELICIOUS. The food was such great quality, we both were full but felt amazing after the meals. I would recommend this place, hands down. The hosts were incredibly friendly and gracious, we will be back!

Probably one of the best places my wife and I have stayed at. Deb made us feel right at home and was also a great guide to us as to where to go for activities. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are super comfy, and breakfast was well prepared and delicious. Great location too; far from the busy-ness of downtown Collingwood but close enough to get there quick. We will definitely be returning. I miss it already.

We spent 3 nights at The Retreat House over the Easter Weekend, in a private room with shared bathroom facilities (there is one room with private bathroom facilities). I'm so pleased we chose to stay here after reading the wonderful reviews online.||||This cosy B&B has 4 private rooms in the main house, as well as a large yoga studio with a room above which sleeps 8, designed to cater for larger groups. The rooms are perfectly proportioned, warm and well lit and the beds are incredibly comfortable. You will need to bring your own padlock for the rooms in the main house. Guests have use of the fridge in the kitchen, and the TV and comfortable sofas in the common area.||||The owners are so kind and helpful. They were able to accommodate our late check-in, and went out of their way to ensure that we and all their guests had a wonderful time. We received some excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities in the local area, and they even allowed us to borrow their trekking poles and snow shoes.||||The B&B is situated on top of the hill, a short drive from the Scenic Caves and Blue Mountain resort (a 45-minute walk down the slopes or a $25 cab ride from the latter). The setting is beautiful and rural with plenty of opportunity for wildlife and bird watching. We were served a delicious, healthy and varied breakfast each morning at a time which suited our schedule. I couldn't fault our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend...

I stayed here on 5 Jun 2019, and I lost where I stored the details of this place until now. I promised the owner a great review because I wanted to tip her for her amazing service, but she humbly declined my tip. I feel bad for not giving her a timely review!

I came here with my friend for an anime convention and the owner offered to drive us from and to the convention at no extra cost. Her place was so beautiful and blended right into nature! Every morning we had amazing amazing breakfasts, and we loved to watch the birds at the feeder!

The rooms were clean and so cozy, and the host was one of the most friendliest people I've ever met. My friend and I had such an amazing time here, and my memories here are one of my fondest.

The bathroom is shared with the others and other rooms were rented out, but I never once felt like it was crowded. The kitchens were also very comfortable and I enjoyed having the option to use them in my private time as well.

Once the pandemic is over I would love...

I came for a yoga retreat with some friends. We stayed in the 2 storey house that did NOT have the kitchen...on the upper level in the open area with several beds. We had booked late and this was all that was available. It was fine but I would have rather had my own room. The upper level did have a separate room for one guest and we all shared the one washroom on the main floor but had to shower in the main house. The main floor was an open space used for yoga and the place was heated by a wood burning heater. Windows all around to see the lovely nature outside.|There is a smaller house with a large bed that was used by the retreat organizers.|The main house has the kitchen, living and dining area and a washroom on the main floor, plus bedrooms and a washroom with shower on the upper level.|The staff are awesome and the food is amazing! It is quite rustic though with limited...
