Big Water Campground — Hotel in Timmins

Been here two seperate occassions and had the worst camping experience of my life. The new Management is poorly equipped and incapable of running a nice campground. Never had a campground owner lie to my face before to avoid admitting to an obvious mistake.

My first experience we had just rented a lot for a night as my cousin came from out of town to visit. The owners came to "check" on us twice before 11pm asking us to quiet down (we had small children) and came at exactly 11:03pm telling us we had to put out the fire and go to bed or else face eviction from the lot.

My second experience was visiting my friend at his seasonal lot, and again being harrassed by the owners about our music before 11pm and this time we were more quiet than a generator, we were just enjoying the fire. They charged us for propane that they took over a month to deliver, and ultimately had to refund us for because they were unable rto provide it. same with wood it took them over a month to deliver then dropped off less than half a cord of wood for $120. Then they continue harrassment and since the owners are brothers, when one would come and harrass us with no grounds to, they would lie to us and say things like it was the other brother that came and said those things not him, when it was clearly not (the brothers look completely different)and when we asked them about this and confronted them they panicked, and power tripped by kicking him out of the campground with no grounds to do so.

Overall horrible experience, the new owners are real i**iots and they are shady and they lie to avoid apologizing for any mistakes on their end and blame...

From the very beginning, every interaction whether by email or over the phone was handled with such kindness and professionalism. When we arrived, we immediately felt a sense of peace. The campground is beautifully organized, spacious, clean, and surrounded by the most serene nature.

Celebrating my birthday there was truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.🥰 And to make it even more special, I received the most wonderful gift 🎁 being able to witness the Northern Lights 🌌 right there at Big Water. It was magical, a moment I will never forget.✨️💫

Thank you for creating and maintaining such a beautiful place and for allowing people to enjoy its beauty and tranquility. Without a doubt, it’s a place I’ve fallen in love with and one I’ll be happy to return to.💖

I highly recommend Big Water...

Great campground mostly seasonal. We were there for a week with my in-laws 5th wheel. Camp is very well maintained, beaches and boat launch are very nice we took out kayaks and my father in-law had his gala zodiac was very easy to launch both boats water is cold tho 😀. Camp geared to ATVs as every seasonal camper has one so bring yours. Tons of traild so we were told as we do not ride. Sites nice we had a pull thru nit very wide but long 3706FK with 2 trucks on site.

Fishing was a little tough needed live bait got a few after we found that out smallmouth and walleyes. Seemed like alot of fishing going on tho they have a public launch too. All in all camp is very nice i will definitely go back with an atv or as a lay over on the way...
