The Hawk Campground is probably one of the best campgrounds in Awenda Provincial Park. Sites are very private, they are electrical, you can see very tall trees all around and ground is good for putting up a tent. Comfort stations are very good and close to the sites and all in all it offers great camping experience, especially around Labour day. One downside would be a lot of mosquitoes in the beginning of the summer.

This section of the park is tucked away in the woods. Very private sites and quiet for most part. Park rangers are friendly. The beach is a good 10 minutes drive or a 5km bike ride.

Great campsite. Well maintained. Very poor park wardens. We were on the first site in view when they would roll into the hawk camp ground and would harass us at every possible moment. We were up just talking at a normal volume and they gave us a hard time. We had just let the dogs out of the car so they weren't on leashes yet and they gave us a written warning even after explaining that they were just let out. The only reason why this all struck a nerve is because we had friends a couple of sites over and they told us that the wardens didn't even slow down when cruising past sites with dogs off leash. But when they went past our camp they would come to a stop to take a nice hard look at us. We were just trying to relax and they killed it. It would have been a much more enjoyable experience of they wouldn't have...

Nice place for family camping, the closest bathrooms are old style, smelly but clean, the showers are further away but they have hot water and nicer flushing bathrooms, the trails are good and excellent for walking and biking, Kettle lake is small and good for canoeing and kayaking but a total letdown for fishing, beaches are so-so to rocky for most people, make sure to have good flashlights as it gets pitch black at night, park wardens are a bit if entiteld teenagers, we got a warning for talking loud around the fire even do going 50 meters away you couldn t hear a peep, the park store has the bare essentials but the next closest store is 15min away, overall a nice experience but there are way better camping sites to go to, also be aware that cel phone signal is almost...

Totally sucks! Dry wood, courteous staff, big campsites with moderate privacy, laundry and showers close by. Cute little towns of Tiny and Penatang within a 20 minute drive. Georgian Bays beaches are awful. Pretty much just white sands with ocean-esque views and feel. Stay away! Georgian Bay is not for you. You need to go anywhere else. Definitely don't book Hawk sites in Awenda Provincial Park as it would totally piss off my wife if we couldn't get...
