We had an amazing fishing trip, our first ever, at Nordic Point Lodge. JB, Jill, Amanda, our guide Q, and everyone else on staff at NPL were very attentive and made us feel extremely pampered. The attention to personal details was top-notch, from stocking our favorite drinks, to decorating our table and having cakes for both our anniversary, and husband’s birthday, we were so impressed! Amanda, our hostess and bartender, was a great conversationalist, funny, quick with her responses and very witty, making each meal in the lodge such a treat. Our guide, Q, was absolutely amazing, knowledgeable about not only the best spots, lures, bait and casting styles to use for each specific fish, but also educated on Canadian flora and fauna, answering all our questions as well as being super observant and pointing out things we never would have noticed like the juvenile moose swimming across the lake, juvenile bald eagle, mink, crane, beaver and beaver lodges, and even a loon with a baby tucked under her wing, on a nest. If you’re going, request Q as your guide, he also was a great cook for our shore lunches! The lodge is new and impressive with a shuffleboard, foosball and pool table and, if you have the food packages, you won’t go hungry! The cabins were only 4 star, as they do need to be updated. I highly recommend NPL and look forward to coming back!

The drive is 100% worth it - it's hard to keep your eyes on the road when you are driving to this amazing resort as it's beyond scenic. Once you get to the resort you are welcomed by the incredible owners Willy and Krysta and then you just need to settle in to the comfy cabin overlooking the gorgeous lake. The staff is beyond helpful, and take advantage of the restaurant at the Lodge as the food prepared by Chef is beyond delicious! We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back, not just for the fishing, which is excellent, but for all of the little things that make a vacation perfect.

We have been coming up to Perrault since the mid 1990's. The lake is an incredible fishery. Endless amount of walleye, bass and pike and now a fantastic Musky population. This was our first year with JB and team they did an amazing job. We will for sure be back, the ultimate testimony. Can't wait for 2026!

I will try to keep it short and this will be a mixed review because not all bad. The good: The lake, the surrounding area and the staff are fantastic. Rudy, Dennis, Jon and Johnnie are great! The chef at the Lodge is fantastic! Fishing is very good and boats and such are what they should be. No complaints. Hang with me though. The bad: Last year we visited for the first time and had a great time. Only hiccup was the cabin was less than desirable and the water heater crapped out but they attended to it quickly. We rebooked for the same week this year but asked for cabin 3 because I saw it and knew it was available and it was much better and more room. Will (the owner who is very nice) said yes. We had 2 more confirmations we were in Cabin 3 prior to our trip. A few days before we left Texas, we were told we were in Cabin 22 and ALL cabins had been renovated except #3. I can tell you Cabin #2 looked exactly the same. And trust me…#3 didn’t need it. Disappointed but not a big deal as we were told ‘all cabins were remodeled but #3’. Get to Nordic and first, nobody knew where cabin 22 was so we spent some time looking. Someone saw us looking lost and pointed us to it. We walked in and someone was already there😂 and then we were told this cabins were staff cabins. So we went back and asked for Will. He told us he got us moved closer to everything and got us in Cabin #2, which was where we were the year prior. Still no explanation as to why we were moved from the larger 2 BR 4 person cabin to the much smaller 2 BR 4 person cabin. Still not a huge deal. Ready to have fun. Tuesday, we had 1/4 of an inch water covering the entire bathroom so we called Will to tell him and he said he would address. (Same water heater from year prior that we had issue with). He never did!! He also argued with us about what the issue was. So we wore shoes to the bathroom EVERY time not to get wet. Come Friday and guess what? The water heater completely craps out and we lost hot water. We also lost water out of the sink completely on the hot water side. Called Will. He repeatedly argued as to the problem but we knew exactly what it was. A water pipe had bust AND the hot water heater crapped out fully! He didn’t believe me until I stopped him and made him look. His word were ‘I hadn’t seen that’s. At around 5:30 the night before we left, he got his staff there to repair after we waited since Tuesday for repair. In regards to the much larger 2 BR cabin that we reserved a year ago…he gave it to a 3 person party that booked 6 months later than us. We done to them. Makes zero sense!! We sent him a message after the trip explaining our disappointment, and received ZERO response. Crickets. We didn’t want anything but for him to understand and acknowledge. So, I am just letting others know not to believe Will when he tells you something. Honestly, I never would have thought it from him but now I know. I also know the $3200+ we spent with them will not be missed but there are other lodges in that lake and there are other lakes in Canada that produce fish. Our party of 4 that goes to Canada annually and is growing g larger next year, will not be back. Just 1 man’s view, so take it for...

I recommend Rainbow Point Lodge in Perrault falls to anyone and everyone. Maybe I'm a little biased but that's only because I just got back from an amazing trip where where I caught a 31.5" walleye on only my second walleye fishing trip. That's right. Not only are Bob and Gale the sweetest hosts that truly care for their guest's experience; and not only is their staff equally as accommodating (if you go this year, tell George, Shannon, Janet and Weezie I sent you!") And trust me, they will do whatever they can to put you on fish; and not only are most of their guests decades long return clients; But one of the best recommendations I can give a fellow fisherman is that Lake Perrault has some lunkers. I'll tell a quick fish story because everyone loves one. As true as my hair is brown, on the third day of my trip following what turned out to be a very insightful fish fry, I caught my trophy fish. After talking to Sandra and Lonnie from Iowa at the fish fry, I was told to try back trolling with a Lindy Rig and live leech. Now I've never used a live leech before and truth be told I find them kind of freaky, but my father and I decided to give it a shot. After 3 hours of getting nothing but a few snags, we were starting to get a little discouraged. After what I thought was another snag, to my surprise, i started to reel what felt like a concrete block. As it came to the surface, I told my dad to grab the net (in somewhat colorful language I might add). He missed it on the first swipe but nailed it on the second and luckily so, because the hook immediately popped out. Check out their Facebook page because Gale posted the picture. And the best part? She's back in the lake for you to catch as well. I'll soon have a replica and the memories of a trip of a lifetime. If you're looking for a great fishing hole, with excellent accommodations, an on premise store for anything you could need, and memories like mine, then look no further. And if I still haven't convinced you, we've already booked our trip for next year! Don't hesitate because you...
