Great communication with Gerry before going and sent us a list of suggestions to bring. I had read a couple bad reviews from the week before and Gerry addressed all my concerns in a professional manner ( a little digging shows both bad reviews were by the same couple) Also who says they are avid experienced at ice fishing and don’t bring a mode of transportation?. Anyways I want to thank Gerry for the amazing trip, wish ice had been better but your concern for our safety was appreciated. We caught a few fish, Gerry showed us multiple lakes and we are looking for to making bulllake a tradition.

Bull Lake is awesome! We have been going there since the 80s. The current owners are very friendly and we always have a great time. Its offgrid, so if you cant handle that dont go. Also there are plenty of fish! Its been stocked with lake trout since the 60s I believe. When I was a kid Joe Ritchie from Massey would catch huge lakers all the time. I still have pictures of his hauls. Its a deep deep lake you need downriggers to get the trout in summer! Including a pic from the late 80s of Joe with just one of the lakers he caught on one rainy day.

Jerry and Christina are the BEST. They will ensure that you will have everything you need, and that the atmosphere is just what you are looking for. The cabins are absolutely stunning especially the view from ours off BEAUTIFUL Bull Lake. The lake is great fishing. In the winter, Jerry shares spots where you will be most successful and it works! While in the summer, you can literally fish off shore for hours and see fish swimming. This place is a fairy tale for all hunters and fishermen.

This should not be considered an outfitter. We searched for an appropriate location for our yearly ice fishing trip and after some discussion chose this location. We traveled almost 6 hours to our destination. Beforehand we asked what we needed to bring, and we're told just to bring our fishing gear. We had expressed our desire for a semi guided experience, when we arrived we quickly realized this would not be the case. We were never informed that we would need to bring our own generator. It wouldn't have mattered as we found out the wiring to the cabin was faulty. We were promised it would be resolved and it wasn't. Leaving us 4 days without lights, a fridge or the ability to charge our devices for 4 days.

We had planned this trip around the idea that this was an outfitter and we would be brought to where the best fishing was. This wasn't the case. The ice hadn't been checked and we were left to find out for ourselves. Even after discovering there was safe ice we were still left on our own to walk through back country lakes that we had no experience on before. After discussions with other patrons we came to find out that most of the fish claimed were caught on this lake were caught on surrounding lakes and posted on the website.

The location and surrounding area are nice. But the overall experience is not what we were promised.

We have many years experience as a group on fishing trips and we understand that sometimes the "fish just aren't biting". But we were promised that we would have the best chance possible and we weren't offered...

I have been going to Bull Lake for years now and my experiences just keep getting better. Gerry and Christine will bend over backwards to help out their guests have a great experience. The fishing and hunting is top notch and Gerry will give you great advice to be successful and the accommodations are great. I will continue to visit Bull Lake Outfitters multiple times a year and continue to create memories with my friends hunting and fishing. I also would like to say we do a dad and kids trip every winter (aprox 10 dads and 15 kids) and it is such a memorable experience for the kids and we catch most of our fish (Lake trout) on Bull Lake and we are so thankful for the hospitality from Gerry and Christine.. so if you aren't catching fish this isn't a Lodge problem it is either the bite isn't on or you need to move around and find the fish... Looking forward to returning for the Dad kid trip in Feb after a successful boys trip last week with tons of fish caught. .. Forever my...

We spent a weekend here in the fall with our cousins family and had such an amazing time. All the kids absolutely loved the micro farm and the owners were so great and took my autistic nephew all around the farm and on the tractor and horses which warmed our hearts to see them being so great with our kids. The dads had a fun time hunting and helping stock wood for the winter. We had everything we needed from water delivery to our door and wood for the fireplace. Stoves run on propane which is supplied, dishes are there however we did pack our own as well. We had a generator which can be arranged ahead of time to rent if you do not have your own. Sauna time was amazing. We have booked a full week for march break and cant wait to get back into the...
