I had the opportunity to stay at this gem of a place for one night, and didn't want to leave. Candice and Mark were super accommodating, lovely people and welcoming. Definitely could not ask for better hosts. The Elms cottage is perfect for a small family (it was just myself, my 6month old and my pup). It came with everything we could have needed, great deck to enjoy the outdoors and had a beautiful view of the lake. Cannot wait to go back and explore more of this beautiful place with the family. Highly recommend these cottages to anyone who is looking to disconnect, relax and have a home away from home in the beautiful Algoma wilderness.

We spent the first week of August here with family and friends. Candice and Mark have done an amazing job on updating the cabins and grounds since taking possession a year ago. There was always something to do with swimming, fishing, using the pontoon boats which are for rent or just sitting around and enjoying the company. We found the cabins were very clean and well cared for. While some of us overpacked the food and snacks it was a great week. We plan on returning again next year. Can’t wait to see what else has been accomplished by this pair.

What a great and beautiful experience. quiet and Serene and virtually untouched nature scenes that belong in a painting. The owners are great hosts and bring the trip just that extra warmth to make any stay there perfect. Thankyou Candace and Mark, that was a great relaxing stay and visiting with you was a real pleasure, definitely back for more.

Yes, this is a big clear lake! Absoulutely breathtaking. The resort is under new management in 2021. It was left to rundown a lot by the previous owners. There are a lot of repairs and upgrades underway. The road in is very rough, but the new owners are putting in a lot of work to improve it. Caution with smaller vehicles. We towed a small fishing boat in with our sedan and it was a little stressful. The owner lauched and pulled my boat in the "boat launch". This is steep and rocky - but again, it is under repair. There are a lot of dock space, but these are very narrow and some are very run down and wobbly. ||The entrance and exit door and both decks on our unit needed replacing. These upgrades are underway or complete for most of the other cabins. Ask for details before booking a cabin. We rented the "Elms" cabin. ||The cabins are very well appointed inside. tidy, clean, good furnitue, window treatments etc. Cabins face east along the well shaded and hilly shoreline - no sunsets, but glorious sunrise and moon watching. There are fire pits and chairs for each unit.||The kitchen did not have a lot of utensils - needs more stocking - - wood fired stoves are used for heating - with wood provided. TV with DVD - DVD's available at office - units have electricity, no internet. Limited clothing storage in some units. ask for details. Our cabin had a big open kitchen, family room and dining area. No "beach" per se, but the water is super clean, (a little cold), and there is a water park of floating "toys" provided by the owner off the main dock.||There are rental boats availabe (pontoons) and they are quite rundown. ||This is a big lake and it can be very choppy when windy. It is deep. There are some smallmouth bass, but the attraction is lake trout and whitefish. You need downrigger equipment. My fishfinder literally lit up with a wall of whitefish at 40 feet just at dusk. There is a large island in the middle of the lake. On a calm day it can be circled though the neck at the south/west is...

Candice, the owner, was amazing! I arrived very very late and she kindly waited up for me🤩 my cabin was spotless. The bed was super comfortable and my sleep was terrific! ||I learned that Candice and Mark have only owned the property for 9 weeks! I was amazed at how much work has already been done to make the resort more welcoming as the previous owners had let a lot of things go! There are currently new decks being added to each cabin - all of which, when finished will offer beautiful views of the lake. The cabins themselves - Candice was kind enough to share their journey and some of their plans with me - the cabins have been painted, cleaned and revamped. There is some junk in the far corners of the property; however, Candice, Mark and their staff are working diligently to remove it. I was excited to learn that the playground equipment is also on the list of things to upgrade! My stay was amazing. I was relaxed. The lake is gorgeous. There is no sandy beach, but there is easy access into the water from one end of the property. You can jump off the various docks as well. The water toys, the pontoon boots and the kayaks were fantastic and such fun!! I have read through a few of the other reviews and I can say that the cabins are rustic, welcoming, comfortable and relaxing. I was happy to learn that there is a lot of attention paid to ensuring each cabin is cleaned with industrial antibacterial products and any questions I had were addressed immediately. The resort reminded me of easy summer fun from my childhood. I liked it so much I am booked for a week in August with my family and will book again for next year. I cannot wait to see what changes and upgrades are made. Candice and Mark are amazing! Thanks again for such a...

Without a doubt, the best "Cottage Country" vacation my husband and I experienced! The calm and mirror images of the river and the clear sounds of nature was soothing to the mind and soul. It is all the small things and more that the new thoughtful hosts/owners, Candace and Mark, did that made our stay memorable; A cottage filled with balloons upon our arrival in celebration of my birthday, the clearing of bushes/trees to ensure we had a clear view of the lake, making a community fire so that the guests could meet each other ( if they wanted), providing a clean, comfortable and full cabin of amenities to ensure my trip was worry free (including new BBQ, balcony table, chairs and siting area), daily check-ins to make sure our needs were met, invitation to see the sunset on the pontoon, and providing free access to the kayaks, canoes, bicycles and water floats for added fun! It is clear they take great pride in making this place a beautiful resort. Highly recommended all around and we will be back next year (already booked!) Overall, you know you have ended up in the right place when your "not loving-country life husband" stayed for the duration of the trip (often wants to leave early) and can't wait to come back next year! On a final note: as the last reviewer said, "Cannot wait to see the end result when all the renovations are done". Thank you Candace and Mark for a...
