My husband and I along with daughter her spouse and baby spent two nights at the Outpost at the beginning of July. We hoped to go on a canoe trip with friends that had fallen through. We still wanted to see the Outpost as we had booked off these few days. We had no expectations and were pleasantly surprised. From the moment of pickup to the time of leaving we were treated like esteemed guests. The staff are outstanding! The food, ambiance, sauna and beach are excellent. There has been a lot of work that has gone into the buildings, cabins and main cabin. It’s a very comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. The staff ate with us and treated us like family. They all get along and are committed to making this place the best it could be. We went on a hike with a lovely man who spoke to us about medicinal plants and made us delicious tea. It was wonderful from start to finish. We plan to come back and this time do a canoe trip. We worried about the drive. It was really not that bad. The reward is that you are truly in the wilderness and solitude. The place is so good for your soul. We loved it all and will be back. Thanks Nico and your staff for making our experience so memorable

My girlfriend and I had an incredible time here in the Fall. We’re from the West (Rockies) and consider ourselves quite outdoorsy so we were eager to try something new and made the trip out. The experience exceeded our expectations – the views are stunning, the food was delicious and the vibe was instantly welcoming – felt like family from the get-go. Whether you’re in the mood for kicking back, activities, soaking in the scenery, or just socializing, this place has it all. Nico, Leo, and staff made the place come alive. They were super friendly and ready to help with anything. The Chalet is like having your own full-on house, offering a bit of seclusion just steps away from the main lodge. It’s well built, cozy, and turned out to be the perfect spot for our stay—great balance between privacy and convenience. The evening saunas and charcuterie boards are just a cherry on top. A solid 10/10 experience and we plan on returning in the summer!

Just got back from spending five incredible days at Temagami Outpost. The gorgeous property is located at the end of Lake Maskinonge, and offers a stunning view of the lake and surrounding hills. From the moment you step on the property you feel like family. The staff are friendly, outgoing, and happy to help with anything you might need. Delicious food and saunas in the evening - it doesn’t get better than this! Whether you’re staying in a cabin, or it’s a stop on your way to a canoe trip in Temagami, the Outpost is a place you don’t want to miss. Thank you to Nico, Leo, and the whole team for breathing life into this special place. The visit is always 10/10!

We had such an amazing time at the Outpost and can't wait to go back!

We went for 3 nights right at the beginning of fall. Nico and Leo were extremely accommodating helping us plan our trip and the logistics on short notice. They were so warm and welcoming it felt like we were staying at a camp with close friends. The lake is absolutely breathtaking and feels very secluded which was exactly what we wanted. We came from the GTA and the trip took around 5 hours which we found was very easy and worth it even just for a long weekend. After a short boat ride we arrived at the Outpost and were blown away by how nice it was. Their family has worked so hard and done such a great job renovating and modernizing the outpost and cabins. This place was the perfect mixture of modern and rustic. It was a great place to get away to and feel truly secluded but still had all the amenities and luxuries you would want at a cabin. The primary purpose of our trip was for fishing and though we did not have a ton of luck on the main lake (which we attribute to the poor time of year) we hiked back to a lake about 2km from the outpost on a portage trail that had some of the best bass fishing I have ever experienced.

Accommodations, hospitality, food, hosts, surrounding area, activities and adventures were all 5/5 stars.

We are already planning our next trip to the Outpost and cannot wait to see all the exciting things that are being built and planned to be built in the...

From the moment we arrived at the meeting point (Jonas Landing) to get picked up by the staff, I was impressed. Staff (Mike and Laramie) were there to greet us and load our things into the comfortable boat - including our 8 month old baby. It is easy to see before even setting foot on the grounds that the staff have been working tirelessly to improve upon the space and add amenities that make it really comfortable and charming. Our cabin was very comfortable and outfitted with all the necessities (power, towels, linens, bug net, and water). There are brand new washroom facilities and even the outhouses are immaculately kept. I can’t say enough great things about the staff, they were so accommodating and went above and beyond to offer to enhance our experience, e.g. Mike took my family on a guided nature walk where we gathered herbs for a natural sauna infusion which he treated us to later that day. The food was unreal (thank you Seth). Nico facilitated everything to ensure we had a great experience. The sauna was one of the highlights for us as well which was lit daily. Great place to visit with a baby as the beach is a great spot for swimming and the cabins have everything you need to keep them comfortable. We even brought our baby monitor which transmitted a signal all the way from our cabin to the main lodge so we could keep an eye on her. We are already planning our next trip and hope to make it an...
