Great location, just off Hwy 17 heading toward Sydney. Close proximity to visit Victoria and site see other areas such as Sooke, Langford etc., this is a good "home base" when visiting the area and very close to access the Galloping Goose for bike riding and walking. Don't be fooled though..... this isn't exactly "oceanside", no sites are right alongside the ocean, a few overlook the "estuary" area but to access the ocean, which is lovely when you get there, you must walk a trail that isn't a problem for anyone without a mobility issue. Services - W/S/E all available and I really appreciated that the sewer connection was located well without being right beside your neighbours picnic table, amazing what a bit of shrubbery can offer. The sites are very nice and roomy, long, a bit narrow but enough room when you have the privacy of shrubs on either side of your site, didn't feel crowded at all. Downfall and reason for 4 star is the gravel in the site needed to be topped up or replaced, it was lacking which caused the site to be quite dirty, tracking dirt into RV from pet and owners was always a concern. Although I didn't have the need for using the washrooms or laundry facility, I did seek them out and they were very clean and well maintained. I didn't have the need for staff interaction but when I checked in, they were very friendly and informed.. As always my reviews of RV parks always include information in regard to handicap access as my husband has MS. Getting around the parks was very easy as the roadway is paved and easy to travel around with a walker or scooter, the beach path isn't accessible. Although washrooms/showers always note that they are handicap accessible, we have found this isn't the case. Showers have a bench located outside the shower itself but nothing for a person to sit on in the "handicap" shower which is a must.

After reading the reviews I did not expect to be so in love with this place. Park 21 in 90 days. The price is mid level for full hookups. Which is perfect because you get sooooo much more. You get a card to refill with money to use showers and laundry. Some reviews said it was horrible. Lol. It's so easy. And if at the end you didn't use all the money on it..you don't get it back...but the next person gets it. So a pay it forward! And you can load as little as 5 dollars. Washers and dryers are the best I have seen yet. Worked better than any of the ones I have used the past 90 days. And so clean in the room! Games room is huge and has so many games and they are all complete! Tons of outdoor game supplies and pickle ball! There is free coffee tea and creamers..vending machines and lots of clean tables to use. Did I mention clean! Someone is always coming in cleaning. The walk to the beach is soooo close and there is beautiful sand and driftwood. It's gorgeous! Perfect for a swim. Sites are large in comparison to others. Privacy is fine. In a few years as trees grow it will be amazing. People also live here year round. That is the other side of the park. We will be here a week..and honestly I wish it was longer. Instant cart door dash and others also deliver here. So if you don't have a car you are set. Very pet friendly..even a small fenced area. So quiet at night and during the day. Definitely stay here! Rent propane pits for 10 or share in a group one near the end.

Really loved the resort itself. People were super friendly; residents, guests and staff! Bathrooms and common areas were kept clean. Showers are coin operated (loonie for 5 mins or you can pick up a “sparkle” card to use for showers and laundry), plenty of hot water. The common areas are really nice: an outdoor covered firepit, games and cookhouse, and a pickleball court. The beach is lovely and there is an access trail from the resort. The resort is on indigenous land, and there are signs posted to aid in getting to the resort (watch for the sign on the right as you drive in)…. It’s not far past there. Signs are up around the beach areas as well reminding visitors to respect the area they are visiting.

Oceanside is and still remains one of the nicest parks we have been to and will remain one of our most sought after stops of our trips. We have been regulars here for years and do not have many bad things to say about Ocenside. In fact, Ocenside may very well have some of the best futures we have encountered between Italy and New Mexico. Sanitation: Very clean and amazing washrooms and showers, very help full and comforting knowing that no matter what time of day or night they are always clean. Location: Right inside a native reserve, certainly not a place where you expect something with such high standards. However, after the first 20 minutes of staying here, we felt safe and at home. Beautiful surrounding and close enough to the ocean to walk in a few minutes, it is still sheltered enough to not freeze from the ocean air during your stay. Customer service: Seriously lacking, or at least it was, before this year the customer service was okay at best. However the ownership changed, while not always a good thing it certainly was here. I know all the employees by name now and enjoy seeing their faces as much as I enjoy seeing a close friend with a cold glass of beer. Camping style: If you enjoy the big outdoors with no power and just a knife to survive ... then well this place will be disappointing. Fires are in fire pits only and everything is very "European" however if you enjoy the beauty of nature with the basic comforts of home, such as clean washrooms then this is a must stay...
