Very disappointed to say the least. I realize it’s hockey tournament time, but was not expecting from this so called high rated hotel to be paying and staying in free for all chaos. My room was not worth the 236.00 paid. To get woken up by a full blown hockey match in the hallway complete with nets and screaming kids put me in an extremely foul mood. I did advise the front desk of this. Guests pay for a room not the hallway, inconsiderate guests should be made aware by your staff. Enjoying the breakfast included was out of the question and upon checking in we were advised not to use the pool due to the number of children and how they had to drain the pool that morning to change the water! Getting to our room and almost being tripped by a remote control car in the hallway in between running kids should have been a sign not to stay at this facility. Security and staff should be able to advise parents this behaviour is not permitted that they are not the only paying guests at the hotel. I have never witnessed in all my years of travelling a hotel let guests take over like this. I doubt very much we’ll return to this hotel and maybe they should consider an empty conference room to accommodate screaming kids to keep them out of the hallways…the parking was horrible also, snow had not...
Read moreOnly an hour away from Quebec City where the current hotel prices are through the roof, Hotel Victorin was a blessing.
We had an unfortunate medical emergency with one of of the travellers with us and that person had to stay overnight at the hospital in Quebec City. The accomodations available in Quebec city were really expensive or really unsafe/low quality.
Hotel Victorin was the closest reasonably priced hotel. We drove an hour to it to be pleasantly surprised by 24hr English speaking friendly check in staff (thanks Elliot for great customer service).
The rooms were clean. A/C cold. Beds comfortable. Lots of pillows. Water and coffee. Big fridge. Loved the body wash and other small things provided. The shower was hot. The included buffet breakfast was good too!
The only negatives:
the water didn't drain as fast in the bathtub while showering
the buffet needs to separate the meat items away from the vegetarian options. I don't want ham/meat juice splashing on my potatoes by mistake.
it they can provide kosher or halal food that would be perfect but that's asking for a lot ☺️
Thanks hotel Victorin for great service and a restful...
Read moreWe were horrified at the length of the line-ups at check in. The reason, we discovered, was that there was a conference in the adjacent building and it was conference attendees who were arriving at the same time as us. This augured badly but in fact the only other time that we were negatively affected was at breakfast.||We stayed in a junior suite which was a huge 750 square foot room. It included a kitchenette which was poorly equipped; there was little more than a microwave. Not even any sugar to go with the provided coffee. It was quiet.||Dinner was outstandingly good. Thankfully the conference attendees were eating elsewhere and the quality of the dishes and charm of the service exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was another story. We were driven away by the noise and crowds from the conference. Returning later, the crowds were more tolerable but the rather mundane buffet had been well picked over.||Parking was good and the staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. All in all, Le Victorin is a very good hotel but we would not have stayed there had we known about...
