From the outset this campsite was very helpful (and patient over the telephone! we had a few questions!) We arrived in the dark and were met by the owner who escorted us to our spot which we were not expecting and was really appreciated. Un accueil parfaitement chaleureux😄||The campsite is in a beautiful setting, you go over the Pont Couvert to access. All the trailers and places were nicely set out around the site so you get some space and privacy. The washblock was closeby and clean. The front office was always helpful and friendly and you could buy logs, ice and every day essentials you may have forgotten to bring. Also a nice sweet counter for the kids! The play area was plentiful and well-maintained as was the pool. You could borrow bikes too although we didn't quite have time nor the baignade in the river😞They appeared to be serving meals at breakfast and dinner time which we didn't get to sample as we brought our own food that seemed very popular with the guests.||This camping experience completely exceeded our expectations and we will be wholeheartedly recommending to friends. Thank you for the warm welcome and pleasant stay and making our first camping trip a succesful one. Cette experience de camping a completement depasse nos attentes et nous n'hesitons nullement a recommander a nos amis. Merci pour l'accueil chaleureux, un sejour agreable et rendant notre premier camping...
Read moreBeware of a strict cancellation policy. We had booked camping here mid-September, to visit my boyfriend's parents who live in the Sherbrooke area. We wanted to camp in order to social distance from them (they are elderly), visit with them outside. With COVID cases on the rise in Sherbrooke, my in-laws cancelled the visit. We let the campground know over a week in advance that we were not coming, and why, and they still insisted on charging us $20 per day (for rustic tent camping!). Given they showed no compassion or flexibility in exceptional circumstances, I would not recommend this campground to anyone, and will actively tell people to avoid it.
Update: I am not sure what you’re talking about, two different reservations in two different campgrounds? This is false. When my husband made the booking on the phone he was assured that there would be flexibility in regard to a refund. Besides, given these exceptional circumstances, ALL policies are negotiable. You are simply choosing to not refund us. Terrible...
Read moreRustic camping in the very quiet area called 'The Secret'. We had site next to cliff that led to river which was a workout to get to but such a nice area to swim, get massaged by the waterfalls or just take in the view. I would not recommend site near cliff/river if you have young kids (a good 30-40 ft drop) we were told when we called to book so no surprise. It's nice to hear the waterfalls from your site. Sites are not too private (by trees) but far apart so that you can still have some privacy and not be on top of each other. Very quiet we could not believe it! Very shaded. No showers in area but not too far (walk or car). Showers are small and dated but works. Dry toilet only but it was clean. Water was far from campsite. When it rains campsite was very messy. Campground very kid friendly. Wood service and garbage pick up daily to your site. I would go back. Close to Sherbrooke and Coaticook. Nice bakery/garden store...
