My husband and I dropped off our daughter at her grandma’s campsite today and when we pulled in, we weren’t sure what to do as we hadn’t been there before. My mother in law who was camping said to go to the office. My husband went to the office for assistance, to which the man working there came out, “barked WHAT DO YOU WANT?” And then proceeded to angrily tell my husband he told him three times to drive to the gate and press the button. My husband said we’d just gotten there and the owner yelled that no, he told us three times. We drove up to the gate and pressed the button but the man didn’t let us in, even though we could see him looking at our car from the office. We called my mother in law who said she’d come meet us at the gate. The man then marched to our car and yelled at us to roll the window down. When we did, he again yelled that he told us three times to press the button. This time I said that we’d just gotten there and hadn’t talked to anyone. He then yelled at me, saying he talked to me first. I replied that no he hadn’t, again we’d just gotten there. He kept yelling, but finally stormed off to the gate to let us through. He shook his head at us angrily as we drove through. I’ve never been treated so poorly by an employee. Our young children were in the backseat and had to witness us being yelled at and it scared them. We weren’t even camping, just dropping our daughter off for a night camping with grandma. I would give zero stars if I could. I will never, ever in a million years go back here or even recommend this place. They should be ashamed at how they...

We spent the May long weekend at one of the overnight sites at Nith River Campground.

We stayed for three nights and had such a wonderful time. We had no problem finding the campground as the signage from the road is very clear.

The campground is very well taken care of. The bathroom/shower buildings were sparkling, garbage area was tidy, no litter to be seen anywhere in the park. Definitely the cleanest campground our family has ever visited.

There were lots of activities to keep our kids (13&11) busy. Basketball court, volleyball court, playground, well-stocked pond for catch&release fishing, hiking trails, evening events put on in the rec hall, etc. Can't wait to visit at a later point in the summer when the pool is open!

The children of the families on the seasonal sites were great at being welcoming and inviting our kids to hang out basically all weekend. Everyone we talked to was kind and polite.

Despite it being a long weekend and the park being busy, we didn't find it to be loud. We had enough privacy on our site.

The staff that we met in the office and out in the park were friendly and knowledgeable. The owner, Doug, made sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy with our stay. It was lovely to chat with him (and meet his three adorable pups!). Thank you to Doug and his family for making our stay a...

Not even one star for the extremely rude owner of the park. I pulled in to get more information on the park and after reading the signs and figuring out I had to speak through the intercom at the gate and then having trouble with the intercom, this guy comes up to my truck and puts his hands through my open window and stomps his foot on my trucks running board and barked at me exactly like a big dog would. I very politely told him that I was there to obtain more information on a seasonal site. He barked several comments at me and he was being very aggressive and then I very calmly said I would just like to back up and turn around and leave and he told me to go ahead and drive around the park. I said ok and he backed off my truck and I gratefully pulled ahead. Grateful to be away from this very rude aggressive man. How can he not know that this is not how you behave when you are in a customer service industry. Would not like to meet him on the path in the dark. No way. Never would I stay at this park which is unfortunate because it...

Amazing experience. We stayed on an overnight site for 3 nights and were delighted with all aspects of the campground. All the facilities were well maintained and sensibly laid out. Although we didn't bring any of our grandkids, we wished we had, because the pool and other activities were amazing. The owners were very helpful after we experienced a problem with the power and fixed it immediately. As we had our dogs there, they introduced us to some of their canine family members! The site was idyllic. Right on the edge of the fishing pond, and within earshot of the comforting sound of the fountain. This trip was by far the best we have experienced so far. Can't wait to go back and stay longer. Thanks again Doug and Jason.

Park is nice but need to have better rules. Site was nice leading right to the pond all down hill tho. Pool is big, I thought it was heated but wasn't and was cold (no big deal we still swam). Other campers need to respect site areas and not walk through sites to get to pond. Wasn't very nice of the ppl that put garbage in our firepit while they were fishing.
