We stayed 4 nights and found the staff to be very friendly and would go out of their way to ensure you have what you need. Showers were always maintained clean, and their is a $0.25 per 2.5 minutes of nice hot water which is very reasonable. Very clean Port-o-potties throughout to save on walks, 2 pools kept very clean and fenced in along with a basketball & volleyball court. Store has the essentials if you forget anything and if they don’t have it Elmira is a Hop skip and a jump away. No sewer hook up, but water and electricity worked well. A lot of green space for the kids to run and activities to play. The kissing bridge is a nice view from the park for historians.

Great campground!! The staff were very accomodating and understanding. Our site was along the river and we were able to get hydro, it was a beautiful view even had the kissing brisge in sight, and easy access into the water for kayaking however the water is very vey shallow along this stretch and the current very strong so might not want to kayak in this area. Bathrooms and showers were kept clean , it was quiet at night could hear coyotes howl in the am near by though. Thanks!

Stumbled across this place while biking on the Trans Canada Trail late at night when the other towns motels and campground were booked during a rainstorm. I found a spot to put my tent that turned out to be absolutely beautiful in the morning. I could see the famed Kissing Bridge when I woke up and left my tent. Very friendly staff as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a spot to stop and shower along the trail. :)

I was biking from my home in Hamilton to Goderich by rail trail sections and when I finally made it to the Guelph 2 Goderich Trail connection in West Montrose, I needed a safe place to leave my jeep while I biked to Goderich and back. I saw the little campground and went in to see if I could leave it there for a fee. I don't think anyone had asked this of them before but I spoke with a lady, named Heather and she made it happen. Heather found a visible, safe, unobtrusive place to park it. Although quite busy with kids and other campers buying supplies in the store, Heather was very kind and helpful. I did not camp there but if I was looking for a place for a little get away I would not hesited to pitch a tent...
