Tent Location for up to 8 tents; and over 40 RV sites. They are in the process of putting in another tent area also. ||TENT AREA: Is surrounded by electric fence for your protection from the Bears in the area. ||RV AREA: Approximately 40 sites. About 10 on the water. Many pull through sites and back in sites. Also buddy camping sites. The cost is $12.00 a night. . There is free firewood, but bring something to split it with. There are pit toilets in several locations, and firewood undercover out of the weather for you to use. There is no electric, water, or sewer dump hookups. There is a handpump with water if you need it. There are several sites right on Kluane lake, but everyone has excess to the lake. The lake beach area is all stone, and I see people fishing the lake. The view of the surrounding mountains are beautiful. This is a usual windy area, so be prepared. We always see bears on the road and wildlife in the campground in the summer. I sure wish people would read the signs stating “All pets on leash at all times”. The dogs off leash leave poop and scare away the wildlife. When will owners learn!!||TIPS: Things to enjoy here; kayak, canoe, fishing, kite flying, biking, just reading a book next to the fire and enjoying the view of all the mountains and the loons on the lake. ||IF YOU LIKE MY REVIEW; give me a...

Bathrooms were clean and well stocked, free firewood available for use in the park, and water is available from spigots in the park. We tent camped for 2 nights, so we stayed inside the tent enclosure with the electric bear fence. This fence was put in place due to a history of grizzly bear/human interactions within the park, and prior to the fence's erection tent camping was often prohibited as this area is a prime feeding ground for bears in the late summer/early fall. I had never seen a campground with a bear fence and though we didn't encounter any grizzlies during our stay, I actually really liked that the fence was there, it gave us peace of mind for ourselves and our dogs. Fire pits and picnic tables are available just outside the fence, as well as bear proof lockers for food storage if you don't have a car. Even though there is a fence, keep your site clean, keep food locked in the car or lockers and clean your cooking area well after eating. The area is beautiful with multiple trails nearby, and on the second night we even got a little show from the Aurora Borealis while we watched from the beach. Highly recommend this campground if you're heading up to the Destruction Bay/Burwash...

Well maintained campground. No host. Pay when you find your site. Many outdoor johns located throughout the campground. No tenting is allowed, only hard sided RV's. There has been bears in the past and they just want to be safe. About 10 sites right on Kluane Lake. A breezy area, but the campfire pits are high which allow you even in the wind to have a great fire. The fire wood is free. The cost per-night is very reasonable. We sure enjoyed the walk along the lake/beach shore. It is mostly rocky but keep walking and the shore turns to sand. The sites are very long and will accommodate any rig. They have some side/by side sites for guests camping together. . A group site also.. A play scape for young children and a well maintained walking trail through the woods. There is water there for your use but you have to boil it. There is no dump station in the campground. The sites are well engineered as you don't feel close to your neighbor. . We enjoyed out time in...

Hands down, this was the most gorgeous part of the Alaskan Highway that I traveled. There are many scenic views within a few miles of this campground, including a quick hike and chance to see wildlife. I saw a brown bear (Grizzly? Not sure, but it was brown) and her cubs right on the side of the road picking for food as well as tons of sheep on the side of the mountains previous to this campsite. I was planning on driving through the area to keep a schedule and ended up camping here for the night just so I could enjoy the area in the morning. The campground itself is very well kept up and had plenty of firewood provided. There are tent-sites on raised platforms within an area protected by an electric bear fence for your convenience, or PLENTY of pull-in sites as well. I stayed in a site which had access to the beach area, definitely a prime spot. Site was $12; WELL worth it.

This is hands down one of the best campgrounds we’ve ever been to. The location is spectacular, sporting views of the mountain ranges and access to the beautiful lake. Lots of wildlife. There’s unlimited access to firewood (recommend a splitting axe to best utilize). Lots of large sites to accommodate big rigs, a variety of back in and pull throughs. Pavilions, pit toilets, and picnic tables are all in incredible condition and clean. There are storage lockers for food and the rubbish bins are big enough for big trash bags. Tent only area is enclosed with an electric bear fence. There is a large very nicely maintained playground for children. All this for just 20 CAD a night. I will always camp here when we go by.
