This campground is located right off the Alaska Highway (Alcan), about 33 miles east of Beaver Creek, YT. Check-in was quick and easy. Afterward, we were led to pull-through site 2 with full hookups by the friendly “running escort lady.” All the sites here are 30 AMP. The utilities were well-placed, roughly halfway down the gravel pad, and the site was more than long enough for our 40' fifth wheel and F-450. There’s grass and some trees between sites, offering a bit of privacy. Even with the tree cover, we were able to position our Starlink dish for a decent shot to the sky. That said, Starlink was a bit hit-and-miss in the afternoon—our speed test at 1:30 PM showed 69.6 Mbps down and 3.61 Mbps up. Water pressure was okay at around 35 psi. There’s no campground-wide WiFi, but you can connect at the office. We didn’t get any Verizon or T-Mobile signal here. This is an off-grid campground powered by a 24/7 generator. Due to an unusual heatwave and everyone running their A/Cs, they were having some generator strain. Guests with their own generators were asked to run them from 5:00 to 8:00 PM to help lighten the load. Everyone near us was more than happy to pitch in, though we’ve seen negative reviews—likely from folks who didn’t understand or care. Behind the campground is a massive grass field, sometimes used as a landing strip. We were told it’s fine to let your pups run loose out there, which our dogs thoroughly enjoyed. In Beaver Creek, the 1202 Motor Inn offers fuel, a small selection of sundry items like soup and basic groceries, and a gift shop with local souvenirs. Be sure to walk through the campground and check out the historical vehicles left behind from the construction of the Alcan. We stayed here for three days and really appreciated the warm hospitality of the staff. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—and in fact, plan to stop back through on our return...

Without any doubt some are confusing this place with the one run by the previous owners, This revitalized is the RV park, with cabins and wall tents that is without any doubt one of the highlights of the entire Alaska highway experience. As for courtesy, the owner makes sure you are happy, comfortable and satisfied with your stay. There FREE walking museum of actual vehicles and memorabilia from the construction of the highway is nothing short of amazing. Every detail of our stays exceeded expectations, that's multiple stays because the owner and crew has been fantastic hosts on each visit. Evening gatherings around the community fire introduced people to one another. Stories were shared about their favorite places to visit and the whole thing was lead by the owner. These reviews bothered me enough that I had to inject my two cents. We feel that NOT stopping at Discovery Yukon Lodgings is like missing one of the best parts of the trip. All too often we fail to review businesses unless something went wrong; that can happen. When you see how much work has and continues to go into these roadside lodgings, especially these that are off the energy grid and have to produce their own electricity you will be amazed at the quality of the service and the cleanliness of the facilities. This is a MUST SEE stop and I personally recommend it...

This place was beyond amazing. We stayed there over night after having a blow out on the highway. They were very accommodating and helpful with what ever we needed. Let us use their phone lines for hours while talking to uhaul. All employees were very nice and the facility was cleaner than any 4 star hotel I've stayed in. The cabin they set us up in was beautiful. The room was stocked with coffe, tea, creamer, with a fridge, coffee pot, toaster, microwave, and other amenities that were very nice to have. All linens were cleaned and washed well. The bathroom was immaculate with shampoo dispensers and nice thick cozy towels. The outside deck even had a grill and seating area. For the price it was well worth it. If I didn't live so far away I would stay there again. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling up the alaska highway. Also, WiFi was available in the main lodge check in area to reconnect with family members. Thank you Discovery Yukon Lodging for all of your help. It was nice to know there was a safe place to bring my two year old to run around at after having a log trip on the road in a foreign county....

Stayed here only for few hours, but the whole booking process, stay, check out and the amazing breakfast (& packed lunch) were all amazing! Amanda and her team are all very friendly and the location is great! My wall tent was very basic, but so was the price I paid for it! My friends stayed in a cabin & they loved their accommodation! Wish I could have stayed longer, but maybe next time when I'm passing by, I'll stay a little longer! Definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants a safe, friendly and secure place to stop on the Alaskan Highway!

A beautiful camp spot with a pond, long spots and clean. Lots of grass for the dogs. The owner and her staff are super friendly and interesting to talk with. They have a huge garden that is a treat to visit. The store has many books available and eclectic thing to see.... a lot of history here. Lots of old vehicles from the 1940's in the woods. MUST stop here. Full hookups . The views are spectacular! We have been here twice now and will miss everything about this place ! Very peaceful !!
