Have just returned from this lovely place. Spent six weeks there, mainly because flights home were cancelled. However, it was wonderful to have more time to enjoy Stella Maris and Maio. It was a shame that some bars in the town were closed because of Covid, but I still came away think that Maio was a special place. Stella Maris is quiet, peaceful gated community, where you can escape from the noise and bustle of everyday life. The villa was beautiful with sea views and well appointed. The garden is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the weather. Whilst it was not my first visit, I certainly hope it will not have been my last. The peace and tranquility of Maio is to be experienced.

Sehr schöne Anlage, alles picobello sauber, gut organisiert, WLAN funktioniert gut und alle Angestellten sind sehr nett. Nur das Englisch fehlt dem einen oder der anderen, aber dann wird das Telefon benutzt und jemand angerufen, der Englisch kann. Die Häuser sind großzügig geschnitten und haben schöne Terrassen. Das Frühstück wird ins Haus gebracht und angerichtet. Der Pool ist super, ebenso wie die angrenzende, kleine Badebucht mit Sandstrand. Das einzige was ich nicht so gut fand, war der fehlende Schatten am Pool.

We spent 2 wonderful weeks on Maio. The house, the pool, the service on site are excellent. There is a beautiful garden and the view is fantastic, you can see the sun set behind the mountains of Santiago....

Das Haus ist gut eingerichtet und liegt sehr nah am Meer. Wir waren 5 Erwachsene und hatten jede Menge Platz. Es ist umgeben von einem wunderschönen tropischen sehr gepflegten Garten.Man hat einen fantastischen Blick auf den Atlantik. Auch der Pool ist herrlich, direkt auf einer Klippe gelegen, mit Blick auf das Meer. Dahinter ist ein kleiner versteckter Strand. Die Insel ist noch sehr ursprünglich, wenig Tourismus, wunderschöne, fast menschenleere Sandstrände. Man kan baden, Spaziergänge machen ode auch Quad fahren.
