In my capacity as a luxurious experience consultant, I had the opportunity to evaluate Hilton Urumqi, which is situated in the Hongguang Hill CBD and offers amenities with close proximity to the Heavenly Lake. Although the hotel promises an indulgent stay, several aspects fell short of the expectations associated with the Hilton brand. The room, with its contemporary design, had several drawbacks. The air quality within the room was poor, despite having an air purifier. This created a stuffy environment, which is problematic in Urumqi's climate. Moreover, the room lacked soundproofing, resulting in disturbances from the hallway. These issues impacted the comfort and relaxation I anticipated.||A point of concern was my experience at the lobby lounge. While the selection of specialty teas was commendable, the service was slow. I found myself waiting a considerable amount of time for my tea to be served. Additionally, the understaffing issue became evident as other guests interrupted my tea time to enquire about the whereabouts of the waitstaff. This disrupted the tranquil atmosphere and highlighted the need for improved service management. During my stay, I also noticed several areas of the hotel that could benefit from better upkeep. The lobby, while grand in design, lacked adequate seating for guests during peak times. This created a less than welcoming first impression. Furthermore, the business centre, which should serve as a quiet workspace, was noisy and the equipment was outdated, making it challenging to conduct any serious work.||For Hilton Urumqi to live up to the standards expected of the Hilton brand and to distinguish itself in Urumqi's competitive hospitality market, it must address these issues. By making these improvements, the hotel can better meet the expectations of travellers and provide a...
Read moreThis Hilton lives up to the Hilton reputation. When I arrived, I was tired and wanted room service. They sent up a waiter with an iPad containing the menu. He helped me select items and in a little while returned with dinner. I could have ordered from the TV if I had WeChat. But WeChat doesn't like my Pixel phone. On the other hand I easily paid the waiter with Allipay.
During my dinner I wanted to watch some English language entertainment but couldn't navigate the Chinese menus. The hotel sent up a room valet to show me how. Very limited selection, by the way.
Breakfast this morning had a large variety of items. Very enjoyable. The matre'de was especially helpful with my questions. I'm looking forward to dinner in one of the restaurants.
Did I mention that my room is amazing. It's fairly large, with the bed, end tables, sofa, table and chairs, plenty of counter space in bathroom and a shower and tub. Lots of lighting that I once had trouble...
Read moreActually I’m familiar with the hotel since I had internship five years ago here. This time I come back with my colleagues by upholding a very different but exciting mood. The staff here are pretty genuine and helpful. As soon as we arrived at hotel, the management team warmly welcomed us and prepared fresh flowers for us, which is amazing. The ambience in the lobby is quite elegant and the aroma smells nice. Receptionists are efficient and well-groomed with big smile. The room is clean and tidy with bigger space and I can get every amenity that Ineed, really thoughtful set up! The runner delivers me extra bottled water in a timely manner. Also the concierge sends us luggage very quickly and organized. My colleagues and I all feel valued and meticulously care. All in all, I love staying here and I’ll definitely share more to my other colleagues and friends. Wish hotel more fruitful results &...
