Sheraton Urumqi Hotel — Hotel in Ürümqi

China Wulumuqi Sheraton is a disgrace to Starwood. I stayed twice (12 Sep and then 14 Sep) in this hotel.

First Stay: 12 Sep Ordered Breakfast Room Service My hot chocolate used "spoilt" milk. I called Duty Manager to raise this issue and your F&B Director came to my room. He confirmed the milk is overdue! I can choose 3 type of bread for my continental breakfast. The serving came with only 3 pieces of bread - one toast, one croissant and one danish pastry. (usually hotel will serve several pieces of each type!). Nevertheless the bread was horribly taste! My colleage ordered plain pancake, and indeed it came PLAIN - no butter, no honey! Subsequently i spoke to F&B director and later duty manager during my checkout on my requirement for my 14 Sep stay in advance.

2nd stay: 14 Sep None of my requests (which i brought to the attention of both F&B director and Duty manager on 13 Sep) were addressed! In addition, i again reminded the duty manager during my check-in that I need a taxi on 14 Sep 0630 am. When i checked out the next day, no one got the taxi for me!

I booked this hotel and given my credit card as guarantee in advance, hence I have no choice but to return on 14 Sep.

Sheraton management - this hotel service is worse than many of Chinese local motels. This is a disgrace to...

Check the Sheraton website, this hotel doesn’t exist in the list! It’s a FAKE SHERATON with terrible service!!!

The receptionist NEVER say : “Hello” and “Thank you”. I booked 3 different type of room, so have 3 different type of reservation number, and the receptionist said: “Too annoying, I have to type a lot!" ( WTH? You are a receptionist, that's your resposability right??? )

The hairdryer was melted already when I took it out, I ask the room service give me a new one (because it seems not safe) and they said: “It’s no problem, it doesn’t bother to use” and continue ask me to use the melted hairdryer....

I stayed here for 2 night, when I get back to the hotel, I found out that the housekeeper have used my shower gel. ( That is the most disgusting thing I have never seen before.)

The facility is too old - The air conditionner is broken but use a scotch to tape up. The drawer was too old that can not close. The chair in the restaurant was broken, but didn't take...

The hotel is located in a convenient location with shopping malls, restaurants and a museum nearby. Check in is quick. However I am not sure this is a typical Sheraton experience. ||There is no dedicated area for spg members checked in, the service for breakfast is below par, people in the spa does not appear to speak English.||The bedroom is big and bed is comfortable. However the bathroom shower ceiling has watermarks; the rolling blinds in the bathroom has watermarks. Floor 12, the ceiling has a hole. ||When you go for breakfast, food is good. Buffet breakfast. Service needs serious improvement. There is absolutely no service at all. They do not ask you whether u need any coffee or tea. They do not take you to the table. Sheraton napkins are folded and put on a plate.||All in all, not a typical Sheraton...
